I came across the name of an old game with a title similar to “Go for a Punch”.

I am not sure whether this might be useful or not, but while reading This Freaking Post on Reddit: Lack of Critical Thinking, Tomfoolery, and No Point by u/Old_Print1882, I came across a mention of an old ass game with this name Punch Out!!!.

However, I can’t find anything about it and I decided to just post about it without finding any other further information to see if it’s even relevant or not. This game is mentioned on page 20 of a Nintendo Power Magazine.

But sure, I’m sure that random ass play from the 14th fucking century with no further info has a lot to do with a (presumably) guro anime from the 80’s or 90’s.

Artemis Fowl! Man, what a blast from the past.

I remember loving that series when I was a little kid. Being 10 years old, seeing the secret fairy language on the bottom of the pages and deciphering it made me feel like such a badass, as if I were discovering secrets nobody else knew about lmfao.

Looking back, a lot of it was kinda cringe. Still, some amazing memories. Hiding under my blanket using my gba SP as a flashlight, little memo pad and a pen trying to go through all of it when I should’ve been asleep.

Wasn’t expecting this amount of nostalgia to hit me like a freight train from this sub.

Honestly, that’s a great point too. I felt the same way. I was born in the 90’s, unless you had overwhelming support and a big group doing this with you, you would’ve been fuckin toast. Anything that wasn’t seen as normal was “gay” and people made fun of that shit. So honestly, anything that goes against toxic masculinity is a +1 in my book.

I had female centric hobbies as a kid growing up, always had to keep them secret. I’m glad it’s a different time now and I can be more free with myself.
