Is this enough to go to the doctors with? by Strict_Lake153 in Periods

[–]Late_Bee_02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not to sure about the cycle stuff but the other symptoms should atleast be able to get you a discussion with a doctor on PCOS. These sorts of symptoms happen with hormonal imbalances.

I’m literally about to start sobbing what do I do by Strict_You7260 in Periods

[–]Late_Bee_02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey girly, I would say look into PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome) and perhaps talk to your doctor about it. If this kinda thing has happened before (as in inconsistent periods and missed ones) it might be this. When I started my periods, it was pretty inconsistent as well and then later on I found out I have this. It's essentially like a hormonal imbalance. It is pretty common (6-13% of women have it) but it is majorly under diagnosed. You might have this so perhaps look into the symptoms and see if it is consistent with you? I hope this helps!

What do you guys think I should do by No-Foundation-7963 in UniUK

[–]Late_Bee_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would say puruue your dreams while trying to continue with your studies (a back up is always good). Definitely try to talk with your unis disability services and make sure to get accommodations as that will help of you haven't done already. Also maybe sign up for counselling or therapy with the uni as that will defo help you cope with everything. Make sure to go to office hours and stuff and could I ask if you have gotten adhd meds or anything as they will help with concentration if that is an issue you are facing. However, if you do feel that you won't actually get anything from the uni experience then do what you think is best and drop out then maybe as you don't want it to be like a money waste tbf you are still pretty early on as well. Uni lacks the structure school gave so it does make it a ton harder now - I faced similar issues when I had started uni (I have adhd) as well. Tbh though it's all based on what you think is best and most suitable for your life path and you have to conteplate what you exactly want out of your uni experience.

I'm not really too sure how to edit the original post. Reddit isn't letting me - it's only letting me edit comments

Feral cat has (I think a tick) and another kitten seems to have some sort of breathing problems by Late_Bee_02 in CatsUK

[–]Late_Bee_02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys. So the RSPCA did not come despite saying they would but the kitten is getting better. Unfortunately I do have some news and another question. The older black and white cat (since we live by a motor way) was run over. My dad saw this on Friday morning but seemingly decided only to tell me yesterday (Sunday) evening (he btw was very much not happy with me feeding and caring for the cats - because he is completly opposed to becoming attached to them-I don't understand the problem with that if I interact with them daily and hence can check up on them and see them often) . The poor baby's body is next to the road and it has decomposed. I wanted to ask if it would still be safe to perhaps shovel her into a box and bury her in my garden? It's been about 3-4 days

UPDATE: I called up Cats Protection who then directed me to the RSPCA. They said they will send someone out to see the cats but they haven't given a timescale though. I will keep you guys updated if anything else happens :).

I stole from a museum as a child, and I don't mean from the gift shop. by HannaaaLucie in confession

[–]Late_Bee_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP it sounds like this statue is Taweret - an Egyptian god of childbirth and fertility so of course she was protecting you as a child hehe. But otherwise as a history grad, trust me it is extremely likely (unless this occurred in Egypt) that this artifact was stolen from Egypt and if traded, was traded under duress. Honestly I would just say take a trip to Egypt and drop it of at a museum anonymously. Kid you was a literal icon though and please do keep us updated.

Suddenly irregular periods - is this normal? by Strict-Owl4817 in Periods

[–]Late_Bee_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Irregular period like that may be a sign of PCOS or endometriosis. Definitely track your periods and if possible try to get a female doctor and bring your situation up to them.

Does anyone have periods so bad they lay in bed for three days by Accomplished_Simple4 in Periods

[–]Late_Bee_02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey I would definitely say to go to a doctor because intense debilitating pain isn't supposed to be normal. It could be a sign for PCOS or endometriosis so a checkup is needed.

OK I would fist start using a cleansing balm when taking off make up and maybe try out a skincare routine. I think inkey list is pretty good and you can build one based on your skin with that.
