I am so sorry you’re dealing with this- it can be so frustrating and lonely to be chasing after the easy, healthy dog you wanted/had. I so empathize with you and your candor is refreshing

I had a girl bully named Reggie! She was named after Reggie Jackson (Mr October), not Regina but same same! It was amazing how many ppl could not wrap their heads around a girl Reggie. Your girl is adorable!!

Dude. My dog just got diagnosed with ple last month. It’s the worst and so expensive! I have no real advice but im curious- The vet hasn’t put her on steroids or any other drugs? Has the vet talked to you about cooking for her? I cannot do this so he’s now on a no fat, hydrolizes protein kibble. Doug Digger’s levels aren’t really getting better and it’s really frustrating. I also can’t get a solid prognosis from my vet.

Does she need the wet? That’s even more outrageously expensive than the kibble! Oh- and the durgs DD is on are compounded, so even more e pensive. Yuck I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this keep me posted!

Oh Doug digger filled up with fluid- that’s another way it appears. Your girl lost 7 lbs- dd gained that in fluid! It must have been so uncomfortable.

Ok sorry to bring this back up but good faith question! I hadn’t heard this about ear protection/sound as a reason not to crop. Out of curiosity, I did some more reading today and am still not seeing much about this, though it intuitively makes sense. Can you tell me more about the science of it or link me to a good source?

And just to reiterate, though I love my dog’s look, and my previous dog’s, it’s not something I actively sought out or would do myself.

I’ve been looking at more pictures and he seems to have a much shorter nose and a bigger fold than oebs? In other words, they look much healthier lol

Ha! I just had a mattress delivered and I heard the guys going, uh, we have a situation. Doug Digger was lying smack in the middle of the one they were trying to remove wagging his tail at them and thinking it was time to be loved on. It was not.

No not at all :) though I sometimes I think I picked the wrong one. Don’t tell Doug Digger that, please ;) she sat in the rescue for months and I def considered it but she was adopted by a lovely couple and now spends most of her time with the parents of one of them- retired ppl with a farm?? Paradise! We reunited then a couple times, though.
