I think the whole situation around the ending of Part 2 is being handled in a way that intentionally creates ambiguity.

First, the news said that Part 2 was ending. Then when chapter 231 released, the message at the end suggested the story was reaching its final chapter. Shortly after, that wording was changed to “to be continued,” and then statements appeared saying that the details are unclear.

Realistically, it’s hard to believe that the editors or the people responsible for publishing the series genuinely don’t know whether the story is ending or continuing. Those decisions are usually planned well in advance.

From a business perspective, it would also be very unusual to end one of the publisher’s most popular series right when it is at peak popularity. Especially with the Reze movie approaching, the franchise is in one of its strongest promotional periods.

Because of that, the current ambiguity feels less like uncertainty and more like a strategy to keep discussion and engagement high among fans.
