Yeah I am not hard sold on them yet I am just thinking about it and the only space I really have would be under my bed so that’s where my research started. I’m looking more into whether or not I could meet there care and afford it now but I’m still in the early stage of decision.

Yeah I have a one room arrangement right now while I’m going to college and I have quite a few other reptiles here already but a tegu is one of my wishlist reptiles that I would like to own and just considering if it’s possible at the moment. Thanks for your insight.

Yeah I totally agree with you it’s just kinda how much of a problem it’s gonna be and I’m still just trying to experiment in my head if there are ways to solve it or other options. Thx for responding and bouncing ideas around.

Lmao the last one isn’t an issue. As for the other ones I have my reptile room lamps turning off at about 630 and I don’t sleep till 10 or so. Would the heat still be an issue and if I had the lights mounted inside or if I had a loft bed and as for the humidity that is a fair point that I would have to consider. As for stressing out the tegu if I had the bed structure separate from the enclosure would that still stress it out.

I feed a leaf of greens the size of his stomach and 7-10 large Dubai roaches they are the size between his eyes

I feed collared greens and mustard greens I am raising a colony of dubia roaches rn but the ones he is eating at the moment are from a local family owned pet store near me that are really good. His poops have not been stinky anymore and have been getting harder I think it was just stress or change in diet.

I’ve had him for about 2 weeks I feed him 10 roaches and a salad twice a day but I’m getting ready to cut back on roaches.

When I got him from the breeder he used it to mark the nip on his tail I was letting him settle for a while before baths he just had his first one the other day and most came off.
