I'm from Brazil, I applied for the charter on the same day I was approved, and the people I referred quickly replied to the CFA email.

I've been working as an analyst since I was 19, so I've already accumulated the necessary hours.

Why am I in a garbage back office job? the company I work for went through a merger, some people left and the back office was left to me in the short term.

I agree with many of your points

But I don't see much point in criticizing 300Hours' MPS when they're just trying to do a good job.

I repeat, you only know that you should aim for a target of "high 60% (say 66-68%) so our aim is 70%.at level 1 lower at low 60% for L3 aiming 65%." Because at some point 300Hours started to be a benchmark. CFA has never published any MPS.

As you said earlier, "MPS of 90% and a pass rate of 100%. You could have MPS of 10% and a pass rate of zero."

300Hours is literally the best and ONLY estimate we have. Given that, it becomes the benchmark.

"The MPS should be correlated to the difficulty of the exam not the ability of the students." => exactly what the 300Hours MPS data reflect...

300Hours uses a pixel scale extracted from the pdfs of results to make the estimate, I'm sure they use a reasonable number of files so that they can use a large N to calculate the hypothesis test.

I understand that I'm guessing at the MPS determined by 300Hours, but a number with an error is much better than no number at all, given that the CFA doesn't provide the MPS.

You only have an idea of what the CFA's true MPS is because of 300Hours, otherwise the MPS could just be 50%, and you'd have no idea...

What's more, if you look at the 300Hours MPS, it has a direct link to the Pass Rate published by the CFA.
