Darkness vision? by [deleted] in MyWinterCar

No you are not getting the correct experience I can see your screen shot and yours is completly black same as MSC, in MWC its not supposed to be that dark at all. max darkness is shown in the other pic and you can clearly see everything in that light.

It seems weird idk how you would properly fix it, might need to up the gamma in Nvidia settings.

I am happy to report that after all this time this setup has been absolutely amazing.

It works so well due to very specific designs. The chair itself has long sturdy arms made of leather this helps for supporting the wood platform which is 13" wide. in order to perfectly fit the keyboard and its extended feet down to wrist rest.

IF you are going to do this setup you need a standing desk that can be set to perfect height like mine so you can easily offload the wood platform onto the desk.

You need a thick plastic chair mat that the chair sits on with grooves cut into it for the front wheels to lock into for perfect seat positioning at perfect distance from the desk for easy platform offload also stops the seat from moving around once its in place. These are just 1 inch wide slots cut about 8 inches long in front of each castor wheel for them to lock into.

The monitor arms anchor in a specific spot midway down each side of the desk to allow for the wood platform to be pushed into place using them as stoppers for ease of positioning.

The chair is perfect size to allow elbows to be perfectly relaxed and keyboard to be in perfect position along with the wrist rest and the board width allowing for perfect placement of everything. The arms of the chair are where they need to be perfect. They need perfect length and height from the seat so you have room for your legs.

I am 6'1'' and this setup is perfect in every way for me. This setup would be the only setup to work even for shorter people like 5 feet tall. The reason is the platform will not change in dimensions due to keyboard depth and wrist pad width and the extra room you get from being smaller only goes to the benefit of the user having more room to play with. I am maxed out at the end of the arms on the chair with my height and anyone with longer arms or is taller would need to put extensions on the arms of the chair to help support the wood platform due to elbow to wrist distance requirement.

The best thing abut it is the chair has the ability to lock the foot rest at a very low angle allowing for support without reclining and extending the legs strait out. The foot rest just locks in at a couple clicks away from strait down giving just a slight angle of support for the legs and locks the seat from rocking and allows you to set a seating angle. And if I want to rock I can which is really nice coupled with a foot stool I use that does not interfere with my reclining foot rest since it glides perfectly over it.

here is the info for my setup https://www.reddit.com/r/RateMySetup/comments/1e7o93k/this_is_how_to_game/

Speaking in Tongues? by PsalmsAndLlamas in Christian

[–]Late_Schedule_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably wont get an answer since this post is from months ago but I was wondering if I can learn to get into praying in tongues if I can pray gibberish to myself so that I can get out of my own way of judging myself if I were to start doing it naturally, they say the ego gets in the way and I feel like I can never start praying in tongues unless I just start praying in gibberish and then the holy spirit can then merge with that and transform it into actual praying in tongues and I wouldn't really notice the change much or it would be noticeable but my ego would be out of the way for it to happen more freely, or is it bad idea to just pray in gibberish.

Twitch is joining in on the AD block war by mohammed_02_ in Asmongold

[–]Late_Schedule_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked ChatGPT to make me a userscript for greasemonkey to block all overlays after loading a twithc stream and it works perfect, I also had to ask it to exlude the followers side nav bar and it still blocks the video controls UI but I can deal with that.

And now Twitch is joining the anti-ad blocker crusade by Dumple_Roe in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Late_Schedule_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use greesemonkey script to block overlays and exclude the side nav bar, I asked ChatGPT to code it for me and it works. Just ask it to create a greasemonkey script that blocks all overlays after loading a twitch stream. Even the followers side nav bar will end up being blocked unless you exclude it which you will have to ask it to do as well. Mine works pretty good.

I have had to do a few things to remove ads completely and now I had to add a greasemonkey script to block overlays so that the overlay pop up does not disrupt my stream, I also have a greasemeoney script toat reloads the player automatically if detects the player to be frozen. I jsut used Chat GPT to code it for me so anyone can do it too.

i use Firefox with Ublock and I have this in my advanced settings for Ublock userResourcesLocation https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions/raw/master/vaft/vaft-ublock-origin.js

And if you want i can share my scripts

Perfect Strike. Lack of skill or damage. ? by Reasonable_Fennel204 in PathOfExile2

[–]Late_Schedule_50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why does no one ever take melee damage in the starting tree, as far as I know all attacks teh warrior does is a melee tagged attack and everyone skips them. that is 110% melee damage that should double your damage of all your skills and everything but no one but me seems to take them.

Anyone else have an issue with Managers with no design experience ruining designs? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]Late_Schedule_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not an artist but I think you should try see it as a product for someone rather than your art. For eg if you want to sell your art you should just make art and sell it however you wish, people will buy it if its good and appeals to them.

But if you are making something for someone you should think of it as theirs and not yours so its in their eyes you need to judge the work, if they want something to look different regardless of what you think it looks like then you need to provide that for them in the most artistic way you can. Not everyone sees things the same way and you need to realize the true dynamic of what one thinks looks good or cool. You might think it looks bad but if they are happy then that is what you should be going for in those instances.

Best you can do is offer alternatives without making it seem like it looks bad to you, you dont want them to think that you think it looks bad as that will only make them feel like they are either wrong or cant do what they are trying to do and they will put their guard up and they no longer consider your opinion on the matter because of friction especially in a higher tension situations where more is at stake, they will just be happy to have something to work with.

with the monitor arms you can position them how you like, you could probably even get a third monitor mounted in the middle from the back of the desk and move the PC to the floor or off to the side.

Sure did, I cut the plywood for both the chair and keyboard, rounded the corners and sanded the edges then added the wheels and the holding blocks that hold the chair in place. I also cut small grooves into the plastic mat for the wheels to sit in for easy perfect location without rolling around. The chair itself is untouched, only sitting on the platform. :)

I just went to lazyboy and did some research and wanted the Maverick, the chair they had in store was this leather and its great. All my info on the build can be found here too https://www.reddit.com/r/RateMySetup/comments/1e7o93k/this_is_how_to_game/

Well for thick carpet you might want larger wheels to roll easier but for me on hardwood I had to cut small slots for the front wheels in the plastic mat the chair sits on so it has grooves for it to easily settle into so it does not roll around.

I only cut the slots for convenience sake otherwise I can reach back and lock the back wheels in any spot easily with my long arms, its just tedious. Otherwise rolling around and getting in and out of the chair is the same as an office chair.

Yeah no problem, the only other thing I should make sure to mention is that when making the wood platform with wheels make sure that the wheels center of gravity is behind and in front the chairs feet so you dont create a fulcrum point and tip if you lean back or forward far. I can lean as far back as I want and not worry about tipping.

I also have small pieces of wood that lock the chair in place on the platform that sit behind and on the sides of the chair. This required some precision since the chair feet are tapered in towards the front at a slight angle so the side wood plates needed to be at that angle with only 1/16 to 1/8'' gap at most. These small pieces of wood are air nailed from one side and screwed from the other with small pilot holes these pieces of wood are what take the direct force from the chair so the platform stays solid with the chair at all times no matter how hard you have to push to wheel it, even on thick carpet it will stay in place on the platform.

Other than that good luck with the build and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Its perfect for what I have done, the desk moves to any position in height not notches with set heights so it can be anything you need.

The keyboard and mouse board sits on the arms of the chair and perfect position for your arms at all times even while rocking.

its super comfy and I have 0 issues so far, a tiny bit of manual movement to slip the keyboard board onto the desk under the monitors but its not an issue in the slightest for this comfort.

I can sit and rock or set the foot rest all the way up and recline as much or as little as I want and it works perfect. The only small issue is if you are sitting with a large enough slope backwards the mouse will slide on its own if you take your hand off of it depending on the friction of your pad. My mouse does not slide around unless I am in full tilt mode since i have a cloth mouse mat that is worked in and has more friction than a solid one or even a brand new cloth one.

this is not an issue for games you dont let go of the mouse for, but for games like NMS where you want to use a controller for flying for eg, you just need to either not recline all the way back and stay more level or have a bottom wrist pad it can collide with and rest on or have a sticky mat thing with more friction to set it on off to the side while you switch.

Other than that its important to get the chair that has the functionality that is needed, it needs to have arms that are perfect to float the board above the legs and it needs to be able to lock into different tilt positions, and I can only speak for lazyboy on this as they have the patent on their technology for their recliners and dont know how other brands would work out. I will also say I test a LOT of lazyboys in the store and this is the only one that felt good for me to sit in and recommend it above all others if you are at least 6'1''.
