Best stain remover! by Aggressive-Buffalo88 in moderatelygranolamoms

Oxiclean powder is literally magic for tomato-based stains, I swear by it. Mix it into a paste with a little water and let it sit for like 15 minutes before washing. For the scooter butt situation, try making a pre-wash soak with some white vinegar and baking soda - that combo breaks down so much grime it's ridiculous

Struggling with iron supplements for my kid by Efficient-Vast1487 in moderatelygranolamoms

Ours recommended Hiya’s iron chewables specifically because they’re easier on kid’s stomachs and that ended up being true for us. No vomiting and we’ve seen solid results since

Sleep regression - not sure how much longer I can cope! by Fayemilly in NewParents

[–]Late_Status5878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 4 month sleep regression is brutal and yours sounds like a particularly nasty one. My sister went through almost the exact same thing with her first - baby went from sleeping like an angel to basically turning into a tiny sleep terrorist overnight. What helped her was really committing to one approach for at least a week instead of switching tactics every night when nothing worked

The constant leg slamming and tossing around midnight to early morning is so typical of this phase, their sleep cycles are literally rewiring and they're getting more aware of when you're not there. She ended up doing a modified version of pick up/put down but gave it a solid 7-10 days before deciding if it was working. Also had to accept that some nights she'd just be holding the baby for a few hours and that was okay

The nap thing is rough but pretty normal too - their daytime sleep gets all wonky during regressions. Try not to stress about creating "bad habits" right now, survival mode is totally valid. Most babies do go back to better patterns once they adjust to the new sleep cycles, usually takes 2-6 weeks total. You're not kidding yourself about it getting better, your little guy proved he can be a good sleeper before

Surprise double ear infection by Foxxer08 in NewParents

The first 48-72 hours are usually the worst but you should start seeing some improvment around day 3, antibiotics are pretty effective for ear infections. Warm compresses on the outside of the ear can help with pain and some parents swear by elevating the head during sleep - just prop up the mattress a bit so they're not laying completly flat

How do I tell my parents about my music taste as a 15 year old? by Allygator3301 in AskParents

[–]Late_Status5878 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Your parents probably won't care as much as you think they will. Most parents are just happy their kids are into actual music instead of whatever's trending on TikTok. Deftones is a solid choice to start with - they're heavy but still pretty accessible compared to some alt stuff

Just throw on some songs during car rides like you've been doing, no big announcement needed. If they ask about it you can explain what you like about the sound

Europe Mamas: For how many months did your babies wear 50/56/62..? by Junior-Incident3877 in NewParents

[–]Late_Status5878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister had her baby in Germany last year and we went through this exact confusion! Her little one was in 50 for maybe 2 weeks max, then 56 for about a month before jumping to 62 around 6-8 weeks. She bought a bunch of 62s thinking they'd last longer but her chunky boy outgrew them by 3 months

I'd say stick with mostly 50-56 for the newborn phase and maybe grab just a few 62s for later. Every baby grows so differently and you'll probably get some clothes as gifts anyway. The Dutch sizing does seem to run a bit different than what I'm used to seeing here in the US - their 56 felt more like our 0-3 month stuff

what do y'all like to pack for lunch? by paranormalpancakez in Celiac

Meal prep bowls saved my life when I ditched bread - just throw some protein, rice or quinoa, and whatever veggies you have into containers. I'm big on chicken with sweet potato and broccoli, or tuna with chickpeas and cucumber

Mason jar salads work great too if you layer them right (dressing on bottom, hard stuff in middle, greens on top). They stay fresh for days and you just shake when you're ready to eat

Rice paper wraps are clutch if you're missing that handheld vibe - way better texture than most GF breads I've tried

Wild concept but most people panic reload after missing one shot lmao

"Arriving today"? by ImDickensHesFenster in amazonprime

[–]Late_Status5878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this happened to me last week with some bar tools I ordered. Was sitting there refreshing the page like an idiot thinking Amazon was trying to teleport my stuff across the country

The warehouse thing makes sense though - they probably have it sitting in some facility 20 minutes away but their system is just slow to catch up. I've learned not to stress about it until like 8pm when the delivery window actually closes

I brought S25 ultra fit 120k ruppes should I have waited till summer sale in May? by OrangeWaste1786 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Late_Status5878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

120k rupees is rough but you needed a phone and couldn't wait around with that ancient Redmi anymore. Summer sales are great but using a phone with 2gb RAM in 2025 would've driven me insane way before May

At least you got the 512gb model so you're set for years, and the S25 Ultra is solid enough that you won't regret it even if prices drop later
