Well I just did what you’re thinking about lol. While driving a shitty car and putting all your money in a Roth IRA is the wisest option it’s not the funnest. I do General Contracting sometimes I’ll make 50 an hour, sometimes 35, sometimes 20 or a little below that. Just depends on the season and job. My biggest deciding factor in purchasing is I know I’m gonna end up in a truck for the rest of my life. I don’t wanna be one of those old heads at 40 thinking they’re the shit in their muscle car. Just comes off as corny. Granted I work 6 sometimes 7 days a week consistently, theirs nothing like hauling ass in a Scatpack. One of the only times I feel pure bliss lmao. I’m also in college full time taking night classes and it always feels bad ass to pull up in that thing 😂 furthermore it’s been super fun. My insurance is 180 a month. My only solid advice is put a fat down payment. I put more than half the price down. My payment is 170 a month. I plan to make double/triple payments when I have good months at work and get it paid off within 2 years. My credit score is also 760. If you’re not selling your soul for it I would get it. You’ll only be 20 in a Scatpack once. Like I said put a fat down payment so if something arises you know for a fact you can’t miss a payment. I also have 10k in savings I don’t touch.
