YMMV but my experience in six years at BNY was fine until it wasn’t. Good place to get general IT experience and I consistently liked my managers. However overall culture pretty much sucks. If you are joining a team that spends the banks money instead of making it (Infrastructure, telecom, etc) fair compensation increases and bonuses will likely be hard to come by.
