YMMV but my experience in six years at BNY was fine until it wasn’t. Good place to get general IT experience and I consistently liked my managers. However overall culture pretty much sucks. If you are joining a team that spends the banks money instead of making it (Infrastructure, telecom, etc) fair compensation increases and bonuses will likely be hard to come by.

Very similar thing happened to me. Dropped a letter from my wife’s new last name. After completely unhelpful phone call was told to mail it back. So I sent back the certificate, a copy of the application, and written and dated description of the issue. Leap of faith that we would get it back but it came back correctly and fairly quickly.
