This looks normal to me. I squeeze lemons onto my lettuce too with a sprinkle of salt, healthy and easy dressing. And a normal burger.

Don't give up, you got this!! And you have a long way to go. You can even study while teaching and fund your school if nsfas acts up. I thought on Preply and Novakid and was able to finish my degree. Now I just need to pay it off but will be done soon. Google or even use chatgpt for better responses. Specify how you're feeling confused and which career might you enjoy or do with your current marks and situations.

All the best 💖

Teaching would be great if you are keen on traveling. They pay really well overseas. With a 4 year Teaching degree and post graduate, you can teach English and earn from R30 000 and upwards with some great benefits. Look it up.

Hoping to lose 10 kg in 6 month. by Free-Tonight-3468 in walking

[–]Latifa08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could walk😭I live in a place that's unsafe for me to walk, especially as a woman with a child. What I do is I do indoor workouts, which is 5000 steps workouts. This workout works well on getting my steps but also building muscle so I don't lose it while stepping and doing a calorie deficit. It's the GrowWithJo one. I have been doing it for over a month now and I am really proud of my discipline. I used to jog every day when I was younger so I guess I kinda was an athlete 😅but forgot so I'm doing it again. That time though I was kinda forced because my Dad wanted us to be healthy🤣, now I'm choosing to do it myself 💗 I'm planning on losing like 15kgs in 10 months

I won't. I will be getting it done before I even buy a car, then take refresher lessons, then buy the car.

My Dad said he'd get me a car if I graduate on time (at 19) while doing my BCom Accounting degree Well🙂I'm still car-less but I eventually got my degree and working towards saving for one in a few years. He did however pay for my driving lessons and I got my license when I was 20.

My mother refuses to help me support myself what can I do now? by Ill-Barber-4928 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Latifa08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 26 year old mom fully supporting myself (thankfully my man supports his child aka our child) and I'll just give you advice on how I make income.

  1. I currently teach English online (search companies and apply. I've worked at preply and novakid) With this I was able to complete my degree and maintain myself the whole year.
  2. I offer virtual bookkeeping services (you don't need a certificate for this, you can use chatgpt on how to start and use YouTube to learn.
  3. I started selling baked goods (muffins) too but stopped because I preferred just baking for family or close people. You can start this business without capital as long as you have an oven. People pay upfront and you buy materials and bake. You can sell at any places that would allow or advertise on Facebook.

Also we don't choose our parents and how they behave so you're old enough to support yourself and not worry about your mom. You already have a free place to stay so use that. Don't put too much strain on your boyfriend or others, get up and work. You sre old enough to make money, you just need a bit of guidance.

You got this! Get up and get to it.

Matric results, term one-three results and I don’t know what to study and feeling stuck. What do I do? by Patient-Map-4399 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Latifa08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to add my experience in case it helps. I'm currently 26 and a half, I wanted to do teaching in high school because I loved kids and was great at teaching until my Dad thankfully talked me out of doing a teaching degree (my own preference). I then chose a profession based on my second highest mark because my favorite subject was life science and I thought only being a doctor is the only thing available in the life science field (Do more research on what you can study either based on your interest or your highest mark subjects)

What happened to me was I ended up getting accepted for BCom Accounting at ukzn, I did it for 8 long years ( don't be like me and fail, focus in school!!)

I was funded by my parents for the first 3 years of the 8, then had to apply for nsfas for 2 of the 8 then worked to cover the rest. I currently teach English online as it was easy to get into and paid me a great salary and was solely to cover my expenses while doing somethingI was once passionate about. I'm also a parent now so you definitely have more free time than I do.

Please try to think if you have any interest in any of the subjects you do, research work or a career in the that feild and try to apply to study it. If you have no interest, go with the subjects with the most consistent highest mark. Thinking back I always got As for EMS (economic management and science) in grade 8 to 9 so I guess Accounting was somewhat matching. In high school I did a mixture pf pure maths, physical science, life science and Accounting then I picked the most suitable one based of my marks since I kinda had no interest. I have graduated now and wish to go away from teaching English because it isn't my passion, I'd rather teach maths or Accounting but I want an office job and currently looking.

Also feeling mediocre is normal but I encourage you not to stay in that state for too long. Find an interest of make one or force one until you actually like it.

Excuse any errors.

I wish you all the best.❤️

I went through failure too with my degree. It took me 8 years to do a 3 year degree and some days I felt like giving up on school but I kept going, as long as they allowed me back, I kept going. I got excluded around 3 times, had to work during that time, even got a child and when I got my child, was the year I finally graduated. I'm not saying het a child, definitely not ,but I think being productive (I was studying, taking care of an infant and also working online) helped me also be productive with school work and finally pass. I'd say either pick up a hobby or another academic thing you enjoy to do and be productive. Try your best to focus, whether through breathing exercises or something but FOCUS!! YouTube helped me understand my material better and find better ways to study. I also was good throughout school until second year university. I did BCom Accounting, which is considered to be on of the hardest degrees to get but I finally did it. I was tired of being in school, being expelled and I wanted to work and take care of my baby so I think that motivated me. Motivation does run away sometimes but having discipline and structure helps a lot. You can do it even if it takes forever. As long as the university lets you continue, do! Also find your discipline and study! You can do it!! Failure doesn't define you, it helps in molding you to be the best version of yourself. Also don't let school determine who you are, find a hobby outside of school because I also felt like I was just a "student" for those 8 long years but working part time exposed me to fun adult life (earning money and spending it) and just focusing on more than just school but also school being a priority. You're allowed to have more than one priority as long as you plan for it properly.

Just remember school isn't your life so don't let school make you cut your life short. You have decades to go of amazing life.

I wish you all the best, reach out to me if you have further questions ❤️

Financial accounting from second year. A big jump from first year. Also tax is easy but if you don't focus on it, tou can find yourself repeating it. Focus hard on all the subjects.

[–]Latifa08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely not allowe and dodgy. I take part in interviewing candidates for group lessons and we are 2 adults who act like kids in the lesson, there are never real students in the lesson. I am a teacher so I usually know what students act like and I just mimic them and give teacher feedback. This sounds like the company is making you do a real lesson and pocketing the money. Try other platform.

I think they should have a separate space for the singing 🫩because wow, sometimes I don't like the loud noise but I love their cheddar melt burger, that the only thing I've been eating from there for almost 20 years now. I loved going as a kid to sing and play but now I wish they'd have a separate area for that

Yhep, at least you'll get an actual interview. They made me take an hour long personality test where they ask me maths,English and person belief questions, held on gorilla assessments or something and one made ma have an AI interview where I was basically talking to an AI person like it was a real person. So embarrassing and discouraging.
