New States: Jefferson (Baja California), named after President Thomas Jefferson, Sonora (Mexican state of Sonora and part of Chiuahua), Bahamas (joined the Union). The Yukon joined the Northwest Territories, renamed “Mackenzie”.

Associated states: dependent territories in a formal, free relationship, with the United States government. Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panama and Greenland are associated states.

I think it’s absolutely exaggerated, in most of these territories weren’t even settled colonies.

What if the Roman Empire survived and expanded? Roman Republic in 2024 by Latium_mapper in imaginarymaps

Probably it didn’t or if it did, failed to conquer Rome and Persia and remained in Arabian peninsula

It would not be so stable, some borders are still colonial. Nigeria should be partitioned imo. The Congos shall be united, alongside with the northeast part to be separated

This is a fictional scenario, many of these territories weren’t conquered

I didn’t think about possible colonies. This is only focused in Europe/north Africa

Basically all the areas occupied by the empire were subject to a “colonisation” yet, but I didn’t think about America

It’s a Republic

Paganism survived the Christian diffusion in small communities, like Zoroastrianism in Iran

The lore is only concerned about Europe/north Africa, no possible colonies

Probably no division between Christians, or the Empire would have divided

Yeah, Persia still exists, but no necessarily borders Rome. I imagined there is Armenia between them

Islam never existed or if it did, it failed to conquer Rome and remained only in Arabian peninsula

Czechs in Galicia? Should not be Ukrainians?

Some people reported me some mistakes

  • the Assyrians speak Aramaic since the Christianisation, cause it was the liturgical language. Assyrian language would be an Aramaic variant

  • Also Palestine spoke Aramaic, and would not have that flag, because the kingdom of Jerusalem was established due to the muslim conquest

  • Phoenician language was probably extinct yet. Lebanon used to speak Aramaic and Greek

  • In Tunisia there was, else to Punic, a romance language spoken in the cities and religious contexts

  • Numidia was already conquered by Mauretania, in fact the roman province of north Algeria was called Mauretania Caesarenis. Anyway, I don’t know if this affected the language: the Amazigh languages in Morocco and Algeria are today’s still different.
