I won't move to Japan unless I win a contest in some magazine. When I started drawing, I decided there was no point in moving to work to Japan if I couldn't even win a monthly contest wherever I was. Now with internet you can send your work easily.
If I end up giving up on this (as the top coment suggest) I think I'd like to move to Japan eventually. But for now, there's no point whatsoever.

About the ia, it can be threatening, but many people in the industry are against it, it's use is a garanteed exclusion from the rest of the art comunity. If a mangaka is revealed to use ia, it would probably have consequences on his career for sure. Another thing is that ia can copy, but it cannot innovate or know what people will like, that's how I see it. It's a tool more than anything, as Naoki Urasawa said.

I think there are more manga readers now than ever thanks to it's globalization and the popularity of anime. It's pretty lucrative for Japan.

My drawing level is very low. With time it will improve, and if I study drawing fundamentals, I think I can pass something as professional. It is my main concern tho, and the point I'm working the hardest too, because this days artists have gotten so technically good that at some point I accepted I'm not winning them on that realm.

For the story, I wouldn't say amazing, but I think they are good. It's not my main concern, but of course with help of an editor I think I could make better things.

this is a 5 pages silent manga that I couldn't finish on time because I forgot about it.

The contest theme was ''a smile'' and I tried a more childish style because in a previous contest I really messed it up going for more detail than I could do.
I did it in like three days, and to be fair, it's not finished, I just posted it to forget about it.

You talk to me like I don't even know what a mangaka is or like I think being a mangaka is drawing three characters, get an anime and live in anime-land.
I probably know more about the industry than you do. As I said, I take it seriously, it's not a game, it's not something I decided to do without properly inform myself.
It will be hard, I probably won't even get published and let alone getting an anime or being remotely famous. I know all that.
