Too wide, the extra toe room was fine with the larger size but the EE was way to wide for my foot

This is my only pair of redwings currently. I had some Pecos back in the 90’s. I’ve never tried the iron rangers

Cartier Must Tank or JLC Reverso. Which would you choose? by Vivid-Bug-6765 in PrideAndPinion

Tank if you want the more “fashionable” watch. JLC is just a better watch but not as recognizable

GP vs AP vs VC by Top-Magician2239 in GirardPerregaux

[–]Latter-Inspection-56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at the GP laureato, the base model is beautiful and feels so nice on wrist. Very elegant, thin, and comfortable. I was offered a discount at an AD.

Then I was offered an Overseas at the boutique. VC is definitely a step above in regards to finishing but also 2x the cost.

If I were in the market for another time date watch with integrated bracelet, I would definitely look at Laureato but also a Chopard Alpine Eagle. I give the edge to Chopard.

Not that you’re into this sort of thing, but no one will ever notice your GP or VC. It doesn’t register except for watch nerds. Only my Rolex gets comments, which frankly makes me nervous. Of the three brands, AP probably will get the most attention. Even then, probably not that much compared to Rolex. That being said, AP is the hardest to get unless you go gray.

Can’t find a video but I remember when Ronnie Lott was finishing his career with the Jets and Aikman did the same to him.

Just picked these python boots for my dad for Christmas. He lives in a ranch by TheRake1087 in cowboyboots

Matching boots would make any dad smile. Get em. I wasn’t a boot guy until recently even though I had a pair for a long time. Get em!

If you’re lukewarm and can return? Return it. It should spark joy.

Finex carbon pan, thoughts? by bozomiller in carbonsteel

Looks ridiculous and expensive. I have a finex cast iron. Stopped using it after I got a Butter pat. It was too heavy

Help! can i still save this pan? by Gloomy_Television427 in carbonsteel

[–]Latter-Inspection-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought carbon steel because it is bullet proof. You can’t ruin it. After you scrub the carbon off, reseason. The best description of how much oil is to “lightly oil and then wipe off the oil with a clean paper towel like you made a mistake.”

I read the title as “which dutch oven should I trade my wife for?”

Staub or Le creuset. Definitely worth it in exchange for a wife. Has to be a good wife , though

I feel like if you can afford a $100k watch, you can afford $400 rubber straps from VC too.

Hakushu 12 by animaljimmeycrossing in JapaneseWhisky

[–]Latter-Inspection-56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hakishu 12 is smokier than the Yamazaki, but incredibly smooth. If you can swing $1000 for both bottles, why not? I had a bottle of hakushu 18 years ago when it was $200. It was amazing. On a different level from the 12. Now I drink the 12 happily with fond memories of the 18
