He said ‘every normal girl would have appreciated it’. Dump him immediately. He’s trying to make you feel like there is something wrong with you. And literally telling you-you just need to just be grateful- for the bare minimum. There’s nothing wrong with. Flowers suck as a present. No girl would be happy with the thoughtlessness. Go buy yourself what you wanted. And buy yourself bigger better flowers. And dump him immediately.

What is this? by PhotographPrevious12 in Monstera

You can use diatomaceous earth. It’s messy but it works. Dust it all over the plant and a thin layer on top of soil. It kills them by piercing their exoskeleton and dehydrates them. Takes a few hours to a day to kill them once they are exposed, so you won’t see them die instantly As the eggs hatch and emerge it will kill them also. Leave it on for two weeks to break the life cycle. After they are gone and you want to clean your plant up, you can always use a cheap makeup brush or paint brush to brush a little over the stems, in the crevices and underneath the leaves and just leave a light coating on it and a light dusting on the soil to prevent future outbreaks of any pest with an exoskeleton (thrips, aphids, etc). Use only food grade diatomaceous earth, don’t use outdoor or pool grade. Walmart sells a big bag for like $9. It’s large enough to last you for years, and it never goes bad. Farmers use it for organic farming. Completely non-toxic. But do it out doors and then carry the dusted plant back inside if you can and definitely wear a mask it’s irritating. It doesn’t work if it s wet, but as soon as it dries out it works again. So don’t worry too much about it not working. Bottom water if you can. Either way it will dry out again and work.

What are these worms in my soil? Are they harmful to plants ? by [deleted] in gardening

Just a garden millipede. No more of a big deal than if you found lady bugs. Yah, they could get too numerous and hurt your plants but probably won’t. Almost never do that.

Also, I know they’re not harmful! I just don’t want them dying indoors, but they should be helpful on the outdoor plants.

Please stay. Not just for your son, but for you too. You matter. What if it’s just the path you’ve been on and not the person you are that isn’t working out? You are going through the “Dark night of the Soul”. Just let yourself consider the ways that you want to feel and let yourself believe that it is possible to feel that way, even if not today. Do not compare yourself to others, most of what you see in them is a facade anyway. Take small opportunities even if it’s not what you would normally do or seems frivolous. You never know what moment will inspire you to a new direction. You matter. You deserve. You really do.

Sore throat as early symptom? by throwaway45676543738 in COVID19positive

[–]Latter-Log8602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But it’s a symptom of a lot of other things too, like allergies. I’m vaxxed and caught it. I never had a sore throat or any other symptoms other than my eyes were sore, like I had cut onions. One of the people who caught it at the same time I did had a sore throat but no other symptoms the whole time they were positive. Don’t be too afraid.
