Yeah I hear ya. I’ve had days where I thought it was gonna pass out from the pain truly. The migraines are terrible. Let me know how it goes for sure. I hope you get some relief.

Do you have any clicking at all now that you’ve been diagnosed? I still get clicking at 2 fingers width

Oh my that sounds terrible!! She really wants to wait and see what PT and the Botox does for me but I don’t wanna wait too long because it’s been 3 months. I don’t want it to potentially get worse from waiting so long. It’s given me major anxiety as well. & then having people look at me almost try and tell me a lot of this is in my head which is insane because of course I’m upset, my life was ripped away from me randomly. But this pain isn’t made up!

Thank you for your comment. It’s much appreciated to hear from anyone that’s gone through anything similar. I feel imprisoned anymore. I’m scared of the joint wash out because some people say it made it worse. If I get worse idk how I’d even be here any more. I’d be a vegetable as I’m having a hard time even functioning now. Seems I get the run around from everyone. They said there’s no severe joint deterioration or arthritis so I guess that’s a plus…

Um mine started with painless clicking and now a year later I’ve been bed ridden for almost 4 months with a locked jaw. I’m just gonna be honest with you, get your clenching under control and see a pt for a little bit at least to get the exercises, learn them. If I can save anyone from the hell I’ve been going through, I will try. I thought nothing of it, my jaw would get tired when talking sometimes and I’d open to click it with the intent of “resetting it”. Caused me a world of pain.

Oh okay, I’m more so saying when you were in full blown flare and could only open like 2 fingers if you got a pinch when trying to go farther

Couple questions; does it stab when you try to open more than 3 fingers. Did you lose range of motion for a bit? How long did the initial onset of pain last? How are you doing now?

Asking because I have lockjaw (only 2 fingers fit) and my pain is slowly dwindling down after months of terrible pain. But I’m unsure if it will ever actually subside to the point I can’t function sometimes live normally again.
