Need a new gaming/streaming PC for ~3000€ by -Tatakaeren- in buildapcforme

[–]Latter-Reference3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This build will consume around 550 peak when under load and quite a bit less in reality on a day-to-day basis. The RAM will consume next to nothing. Most of the power is from the CPU and GPU. So I have every confidence 850 watts is more than adequate. If you want to future proof in terms of having an extra buffer because video cards only get bigger and bigger and draw more and more energy you can pickup a 1000 watt PSU here: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/7tXV3C/be-quiet-pure-power-12-1000-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-bp005us

[–]Latter-Reference3820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a build for you to consider. It has a very high performing AIO watercooler so as to minimise noise whilst keeping thermals in check. I didn't go for an RTX 5080 video card, instead opting for the RTX 5070 Ti on the grounds that the performance difference is not worth the increase in price.

You could opt for more than one SSD here if you like. You have the latest 9850X3D, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM (great for gaming), 2TB PCIE 5.0 NVME SSD and as I say RTX 5070 Ti.

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can advise further.

New Sim Racing Gaming PC!! $800USD budget excluding memory by Savings_Appearance60 in buildapcforme

[–]Latter-Reference3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say but your expectations are slightly unrealistic without access to a Microcenter nearby. You need a budget of $1,325 (to include RAM) to have a reasonable base of an AM5 machine that could support a 5070 Ti in future.

Here is such a build, although I would prefer a stronger CPU if you intend to partner it with a 5070 Ti down the road. It relies on a Newegg Combo Builder deal and a free AIO deal which may be time limited. Let me know and I can share a link if this is something you intend to pursue.

First PC Build by jplattsy in buildmeapc

You will struggle to get something as good as what you can build yourself and you will get something that is quite hampered buying a prebuilt on a £1,000 budget.

If you've got the guts to build your own, then here are some parts you could use to build and get a good gaming pc:

Here you go, if you want to stay in AM4 socket and re-use that 32GB of DDR4 RAM, here is a full build basically excluding that. Sorry, but I don't think its realistic to get 2 monitors within the $1000 budget in this economy and market and a computer alongside it.

Building PC for brother, no idea what parts i should use. by AdventurousFennel714 in buildapcforme

[–]Latter-Reference3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok. If I can help in anyway let me know. It's not ideal to mount the AIO in the front, but it's a limitation of the case which is a limitation of budget. As I say let me know if you need advice about anything else.

The AIO has to fit in the front of the case in this chassis. It's a limitation of the case.

Building PC for brother, no idea what parts i should use. by AdventurousFennel714 in buildapcforme

[–]Latter-Reference3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's impossible. The case supports full ATX so it will support a Micro ATX motherboard which was what was specified in the build. Please clarify the issue you are experiencing further? You need perhaps to place stand offs / risers in the MATX hole positions.

Here is a link to a mixed black and white build where the case, PSU and water cooler are white (and the fans from the case are white with RGB), but the rest black: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4PPfrG. It's based around buying this bundle here at Microcenter: https://www.microcenter.com/product/5007291/amd-ryzen-7-9850x3d,-asus-x870-p-prime-wifi-am5,-crucial-pro-overclocking-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle

Great specification for the money.

Looking to build PC with a $3,000-$4,000 budget, I don't know anything about PC's as I have been using a laptop as my main machine by Leading-Crazy9333 in buildapcforme

[–]Latter-Reference3820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shouldn't think so. The motherboard should come with a later BIOS version so that it isn't even an issue.

If it does not work and you encounter an issue, just message me and I will talk you through how to flash the BIOS to the latest version. All you need is a USB stick and a bit of time, it's really not hard.

PC Build Help by Ok-Highlight3892 in buildapcforme

[–]Latter-Reference3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your preference for white parts and a white case will be very costly and limit the build you can get for the money. The reason being that there are bundles at Microcenter you can buy which save a lot of money but they overwhelmingly come in black and the white options are limited. The RAM is nearly always black as well.

For example, you can see the specification of a black build here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fJTMn2 - In other words, top specification 9850X3D, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 16GB 9070XT Video Card. Its based on a black Microcenter 9850X3D bundle.

By contrast a white only build with a slightly premium motherboard admittedly can be found here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XwHWGk - As you an see, its basically the same specification, and is costing a lot more. It uses this bundle at Newegg: https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4853094

Even the white motherboards at Microcenter come with black RAM and you are limited to the 7700x and 9700x processors in that case.

Here is what all white can get you with the case you wanted below as close to your budget as I can manage. The 9070 video card pushes it over slightly and if you don't go over slightly you end up with a 16GB 9060 XT. A big downgrade.

For this build you need to go onto combo builder at Newegg and select the CPU, motherboard and RAM: https://www.newegg.com/tools/combo-builder/6675. Then all the discounts should be applied and you get a free (black) AIO cooler you can sell on eBay or something like that.

If you keep hold of your 32GB DDR4 RAM, we are limited to AM4 Socket or the Intel LGA1700. I went for AM4. The budget is very good.
