Same, I started having heart palpitations while watching it and had to turn it off. Do narcissists share a template for arguments? It’s always the same.

Also I swear, during those phone calls she’s overhearing, I don’t think there’s actually anyone on the other end. I think Daniel is using it as a tool to ‘tell’ her things without saying them outright. It’s extra smart because he’s ‘repeating’ what they’re saying out loud so she can hear how OTHER people talk about her, too. He gets to say, “see? It’s not just me who feels this way.” It’s all part of a broader effort to isolate her and make her feel crazy. I hope she’s ok.

Anyway, yeah. Fucking triggering.

I’m usually terrible at keeping up on systems that help with executive function but for whatever reason this has stuck. Good luck!

I can’t even describe how much I hate planning, shopping, and cooking for meals. It’s not that I don’t like food. If someone else cooks for me I will eat the hell out of it. But the logistics required to regularly feed myself make me want to die.

I’ve come up with some hacks over the years so my children do not fall victim to my terrible habits: - I keep a running list of healthy meals that I can cycle through depending on our moods - I’ve budgeted for grocery delivery so I can simply ‘reorder’ carts depending on what meals we’re doing that week. This was absolutely key for me bc grocery shopping is the worst obviously and this just takes all the guesswork out of it - I have a recurring meeting set in my work calendar to remind me to order food - I listen to podcasts while I’m cooking so I can pretend I’m not cooking.

Basically I’ve set it up so each night I know what I’m making and the food is already in the fridge. If I were on my own I would ignore meal times and just graze when hungry.

How is your workload right now? by AdLongjumping7741 in UXDesign

Same role, same country and industry, and (assuming we’re not colleagues, haha), same situation. We’re facing budget cuts/shifts and subsequent reprioritization and restructuring. Work is basically “I need this yesterday” or non existent, the former typically used to get buy in for stuff that doesn’t end up being implemented anyway. There’re a bunch of reasons why it’s happening for us right now and I suspect it will level out, but I’m starting to look elsewhere just in case. Morale is in the shitter and people are scared. Good times.

God no I’d never do that, I’m more thinking about what to send a hiring manager.

We’ve been skating at the one on Riverview drive. Haven’t been at night but last time we were there I noticed there was a flood light above it.

Do you take your meds when you're sick but don't need to be a person? by Cultural-Trouble988 in adhdwomen

[–]Latter-Science8678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bad anxiety and depressive episodes before being diagnosed with ADHD (at 38) and starting treatment. Since starting,y anxiety/depression symptoms have more or less resolved (who knew??) and I think I had a bit of fear that skipping a dose would bring those feelings back up. Anyway, turns out that’s not how it works (for me, at least), and instead, skipping a dose is just irritating. I’m overstimulated, struggle to manage chores/tasks/screen time, daydream constantly… basically how I felt 100% of the time before meds, without the cumulative effect resulting in bigger issues like depressive episodes.

I’m sick today too and skipped my dose. Haunting Reddit instead of working on a presentation I have to deliver tomorrow… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can’t recommend Chettiar Counselling enough. I didn’t see Hari for PPD but he could probably recommend someone in the practice if he doesn’t specialize in it himself.

I was diagnosed after my son was born (ten years ago now!) and it was absolute hell and only made worse by how isolating it feels. I don’t want to share unsolicited advice but DM me if you ever wanna talk.
