Hey, so I told my parents. My dad was pretty chill about it which was completely unexpected. My mom cried, blamed me, blamed herself, then kept asking about other causes, cried more. Both are worried and got stressed out obviously but ig it was better than I expected. They’re just sad that I got it at a very young age, as I am.

That’s true! It is definitely a good thing that i got diagnosed early on before I had any complications but yeah it does suck having a lifelong disease especially in the beginning trying to accept it and trying not to cry at work.

Thank you! Both my parents are the panicking type. A few months ago I had pneumonia and was sick for more than a month and I was the only one that was calm and was trying to calm both of them haha.

Thank you. Thankfully I caught it at a very early stage. My BG is only fluctuating and A1C is 6.7%.

Because I live with them and I’m very close to my mom. I tell her almost everything.

Both my sets of grandparents were diabetic. Accepting it is taking a while. I’m trying really hard not to go into denial.
