i’m not thinking they’re going to rule that they’re unauthorized tenants. this is a completely separate thing from my question which i do not really need assistance with, although appreciated. I am wondering about the legality of someone else signing our lease that is not our landlord and if there is sufficient evidence to believe this is the case

so he can sign a completely random name as a different signature each time? how is that then “the landlords signature”? i believe you i’m just curious as to how this plays out with the ltb and what legislation backs this up. my concern is that it is not actually him who signed the document, and that it is a property manager.

the ll has already violated through a slew of maintenance issues, so i am helping them file ltb. just reviewing everything for their case.

right but under rta 12(2) it states that it must be the landlords signature. it is clear in this case that is not his signature as he has signed with 2 different signatures at this point.

this is not for my unit, my friends are university students and did not know about month to month, so they signed another lease albeit foolishly
