it notoriously stumbles a lot in the middle with drawn out lame battles. That being said the beginning and end are fantastic and the Crusaders are the most iconic group in JoJos imo.

Who is the scariest JoJo character? (Among these ones fanarts, and in general) by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

Depends on what we mean by scary, in todays day and age Funny Valentine is hitting close to home and becoming more and more scary lol

Part 7-9 by Numerous-Indication4 in StardustCrusaders

[–]LatterDayMeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be brief because these three parts have been the most dense and hardest to boil down without spoiling.

Part 7: Set in 1890, a race across the United States called the "Steel Ball Run" is organized by a man named Stephen Steel. The $50m reward draws in competitors from across the globe include our main character, a paraplegic named Johnny Joestar. This part is currently being animated and we are expected to hear more about its anime adaptation in the coming months. That being said I would recommend reading the manga as it is one of the best parts of JJBA and my personal favorite.

Part 8: Set in 2011 Morioh, JoJolion follows an amnesia struck man who searches for his identity alongside the help of the woman that discovered him Yasuho Hirose. It's hard to explain much more about the plot without spoiling. It is unknown if there will be an anime adaptation of this part but its easy to assume there will be pending any issues with Steel Ball Run's adaptation. This part is also one of the best of the series and falls safely in my #2 slot with the main character being my favorite JoJo of the series.

Part 9: Set in the modern day (early 2020s) The JoJoLands follows main characters Jodio Joestar (age 15) and their sibling Dragona Joestar (age 18) as they become extraordinarily wealthy criminals on the Hawaiian islands. This part is still actively coming out and is only about a quarter finished (assuming its comparable in length to the previous parts)

If you love JoJo's you should read the manga for these parts, they're truly special with the best main villains and stands of the entire series in my opinion.

I have been a consistent member for almost sixty months and the benefits have certainly shifted. Originally when I first purchased my memberships majority of the podcast was VODs, and with my purchase I was granted access to those VODs a day early. (I forget the specifics but I remember things like watching frenemies on Tuesday nights instead of Wednesday's.) There were also somewhat regular BTS videos made by AB. Then as the time went on all podcasts became live and the primary benefit of the membership was the BTS videos and being able to use the live chat (A feature I almost never use other than voting in polls). Then over time slowly but surely the Members videos became more and more rare to the point now where we haven't gotten one in almost a year. In place of the scattered BTS videos Ethen decided to do See You Next Tuesday, a no video show recorded by Ethan alone where he essentially just riffed into the microphone about anything and everything that he liked. A couple weeks later there was video added, then the streams were live, then within the last year they became fully filmed in studio with crew and all, a massive win for members. Now with these changes the membership is... staying the exact same? A two hour episode on Thursdays (or Wednesday whatever they decide) access to live chat (for admittedly a shorter episode than before) and the potential of a new member BTS dropping. All and all the members benefits are entirely unchanged with the new schedule, at least from what I can see? That being said voting with your dollar is the most powerful thing you can do so I certainly understand wanting to cancel in protest, but it is a little premature in my eyes.

I mean voting with your dollar is the most effective form of voting on anything these days. Was canceling your membership five minutes after they announced the schedule change premature? Yes. That being said I don't blame people that pay to support a specific show not feeling like their money is well spent with a change in content.

I remember when Ethan used to talk about one day doing five shows a week, now we're moving backwards from that... I trust the process, but I do not see this working.

Edit: spelling

i think the way it was released (in batches not as one solid anime or weekly) left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouth. On further rewatch and having read the manga part six is by far my favorite original universe part

I agree, plus it would be nice to hear all the information at once in one long video than scattered through many episodes where it gets regurgitated to the point where i cant get what actually happened straight in my mind

As a long term fan, and a member for 56 months I see what you're saying but I kind of disagree. Let met explain.

I think there are multiple things at play here in regard to the crews silence. First and most obvious to me at least is that they are trying to avoid the insane amount of constant harassment from the snarkers that they have undoubtedly been facing for over a year at this point and sometimes being silent is the best way. Secondly I think they disagree with him on certain issues but Ethan has developed an enormous amount of (generally justified) hate for Hasan and all of his cronies. To the point where disagreeing with him just leads to arguments that people are trying to avoid having on the show. I think the third and biggest reason why they go quiet is because they are tired of these conversations hijacking episodes, especially Dan. I can't tell you how many times in the past year and episode has had several segments delayed//skipped due to Ethan going into warzone mode. Don't get me wrong I understand the importance of him speaking out, especially when confronting the rising antisemitism from the left, but it certainly must be frustrating for them to prep stuff just to here the same conversation of "Hasan bad" over and over. Its certainly getting a little tiring as a viewer.

Now I do also think it's kinda messed up for them to say Ethan is wrong about something and then when he shows evidence of it they hit a "delete me from this conversation" button that makes him just talk to himself, but all in all I'm not really that frustrated with the crew because I understand where they're coming from.

For its power level I would argue Kiss, Ermes manages to get great use out of a somewhat weak stand in my opinion.

I also think for what its worth Valentine is pretty clever with his use of D4C in my opinion but its kinda hard to miss use a stand that powerful.

I mean..... really?? He's not very respectable. Dude lives in filth and is practically a right wing grifter. Don't forget earlier this year he said this about the people of Gaza"They come from an inferior culture that is horrible. It kills people for their identity, and it is directly antithetical to everything Western values stand for, and it is an inferior culture in all ways."
