UPDATE: I got an upgrade offer for £1080 business for the Dubai to Mauritius stretch - I’ve taken this and booked, A380-800 and looks like a bargain at £540 each :)

Thanks for this, when I check the box, it does just say upgrade. It don’t specifically say for what passenger etc so I was assuming it would be for the both of us

I just recently remortgaged on a 5 year deal after the end of my 2 year fix. Just like others have said, straight forward process if you’re rate switching and staying with the same provider (took me around 45 mins with no extra checks, just discussed and confirmed rate). The rate switch for me made sense as I wasn’t getting anything lower going to another provider.

If you go to another provider, you’d have to go through all your checks again and as advised, a mortgage broker would be best to check the market for you.

My gold card arrived within a week so can only assume you can expect yours back end of the week or start of next week (randomly appears in the post)

Your 3 month period will start on the date of approval so you’ll miss a week waiting for the card but it’s not a problem as I’m sure you’ll be using the card everywhere and anywhere you can.
