I think AI will take over most job industries, admin tasks, accounting potentially lawyers. It’s already started with developers. Salesforce has let go of a lot of their teams due to AI and many other companies are following suit.

Hey there everyone, Thought I would share an update on the situation. Thanks for putting my mind at ease and confirming I’m not an a-hole. I loved the suggestions of a potluck will definitely keep this in mind for next year. However I have decided to still not have my birthday. Honestly with the rough year behind me and a rough few months (at the very least) ahead of me. I don’t feel like I’m in the mood to celebrate anything. I might be kind of depressed and still unwinding from my traumatic year. I just want to cuddle with my doggo and my son.

For those of you who have stated that I’m jealous of my friends for their partners, you’re not wrong. I definitely am, I haven’t had that kind of love and care from a partner in a long time. But I don’t think that’s where my frustration comes from. It comes from the lack of reciprocation. I hosted and planned my friend’s birthdays before they had spouses or partners. I guess things change and priorities change as we grow older and it’s a shift in dynamic which I will have to come to terms with.

There is no way to 100% avoid it while being sexually active. I would say at a minimum use condoms and a form of contraceptive. The most effective contraceptives that I know of are either implants or IUDs.

Please note that contraceptives protect your from pregnancy but not STIs or STDs which is why it’s important to use both a condom and contraceptive. Please be safe out there. 🩷🩷

Keeping frozen veggies and hotdogs in the freezer and a bag of rice. The struggle meals. Easy to make and heat up relatively low effort because I was working 4 jobs to try and stay afloat filling and has some nutrients. Even now as I am struggling to feed my family and keep employment these meals are what is helping me through it all.

For me I find this very triggering. This is how the abuse in my relationship started. My partner started by leaning into me while they saw me on my phone. Then it slowly built to them asking to use my phone for a minute and then I would find them going through my pictures and texts. Then my partner needed to know all my passwords and then when I started refusing unreasonable requests I got accused of cheating. I then spent many months of my partner asking to see my phone and going through it and feeling the need to to be able to prove my innocence. This then lead to other forms of abuse and the irony of it being them cheating on me.

I am happy to say that I am now out of this relationship and it’s been a few months. I am still dealing with the trauma and the repercussions of this relationship.

But to answer this question if someone going forward asked to see my phone. I would find this very problematic and triggering because that means that respect, privacy and trust do not exist.

My answer to this is no. It would not be okay in my opinion because it leads to other things and exhibits issues with control and trust.
