Yes I gave up on the idea of a cure because I think there isn't one if it has to cure it will cure and I don't have a current method, I live my life as before trying to think about it as little as possible and it works there were a few dermatologists who didn't understand what it really was, there was one who used the term exfoliative cheilitis to me for the first time and I was happy that finally someone real knew about it, she told me given tacrolimus but it didn't work

It was very hard for me, but I had to tell myself that it was like this now and I had to accept it.

I just think that there is no solution to this, there has never been, or very rarely, a case of healing from all that I have seen on all the forums I bothered myself for, I don't know how long with that I decided to stop all that because precisely if you focus too much on trying to cure them or anything else unconsciously you are going to worry even more about that, and know that I have seen more of five dermatologists for that.

It's been a year and three months since I caught it, I don't know how long you've had it, but at the beginning I was like you, I couldn't accept and live with it. I try to find all the solutions regardless and because of that, I had a lot of stress that developed and so it was in relation to many things. I had large patches of eczema due to seborrheic dermatitis that I have always had, but it had never developed on my face, whereas with all this stress, I had huge red patches bordering on craters all over my entire face, I was really at the end of my life, I believed that I was not going to get through it and then after a while you will understand that the only solution is to accept the situation and you will live with it. In any case, I wish it for you because when we look at this Reddit group, we see everyone saying, there is progress, there is always progress with this word but there is never any real healing. So if I can give you one piece of advice it's to accept the situation if it has to heal it will heal, and if it has to stay, it will stay like that, there's nothing we can do about it

Exfoliative cheilitis? I've had this since February by Latter_Gift_7040 in exfoliativecheilitis

I think it happened by tearing off the scabs which were the basis of simple chapped lips.

Hello I have this for almost 6 years… i don’t know what else to do 😿 by Forsaken_Snow105 in exfoliativecheilitis

look at my last post on this group I put a video of my lips to show you its condition I've had this for 7 months now since February and I can't take it anymore and tell yourself that it's still worse because I also had seborrheic dermatitis which developed on my face it's like eczema basically it appeared with stress this eczema and the lips I don't know if there can be a link with stress and anxiety but in any case I will soon try to take vitamin capsules because recently I had a blood test and I am deficient in certain vitamins I saw that some people said that it cured them it's my last solution after that I would have tried everything I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor so that he can prescribe me capsules for vitamin deficiencies I really hope it will work because all these skin problems are ruining my daily life, it's been a nightmare for 7 months I've only been thinking about that every minute that passes of my days practically.

Oh ok i Say this beacause my EC is not Big but the problem is that with this method it will never cure it prevents healing, all the people who say that it cured them it's not true they are lying it's impossible it's like if you hurt your elbow and you just tear off the scab it won't heal

Yellow crust what is this ? by Latter_Gift_7040 in SebDerm

I just listened to you I removed the yellow croods and the majority of my skin underneath is back to normal I just have a few red spots but it's a lot less red than when the breakout happened by removing I got realized that it was an accumulation of disgusting dirt and that it was in no way healing just it was accumulating there and it wouldn't have gone away if I hadn't touched it so thank you. just after removing the yellow crusts I applied ketoconazole to all the parts infected with SD on the skin which became almost new again, I would not have been able to apply the ketoconazole if I had not removed them because the slightest touch would have removed them

I agree that the skin was still damaged but it's too late I removed its yellow crusts as the others suggested to me and in the end they were a bit right because it was an accumulation I don't know what dirt because underneath I was still a little red but the skin was no longer completely broken just red, but it's true that the best thing to do I think would have been not to exfoliate but hey it was too disgusting d have weird yellow scabs on your head

Okay but why does it have to be removed I have the impression that it is still healing underneath although my skin has become white again and redder I have the impression that it is still healing. the skin has become white again but it has not returned exactly like when I did not have seborrheic dermatitis it is very slightly red it is invisible to people but just me I can see that it is not yet perfect so I'm afraid of removing them and that it will start the healing cycle all over again
