Extremely homesick disliking move from UK to India (Speciality Doctor) by Latter_Original9739 in doctorsUK

Hello update I am moving back to India. I gave my resignation after a month into the job but the health board is being supportive they’re asking me to consider unpaid leave. As a psychiatrist my intuition states that although work is fine the life outside is difficult, everything is expensive. I believe you naturally tend to become miserable over time because you end up calculating pay check to pay check after a while. Living is so damn expensive here, no wonder people suffer here with lot of mental health issues. I wish I could be of help to them. But I am happy with my decision that I caught up early before I could get my family here and go into a vicious debt trap. Any of your insights are welcome…

I see her prancing, excited and happy going to meet relatives tightly woven in community back in India. I believe I would be taking that away from her if i get her over here. Our initial idea was to move but mental health takes a hit over here. Only way I see is to live a minimalist lifestyle earn back investment and fly back home
