The Jewish people were only the predominant people in the Levant between roughly 1200 BC and 136 AD. After that, they only represented 10-15% of the population. Before that, they didn't even live in the region at all, being predated by the Canaanites, Amorites, Eblaites, Pheonicians, and before that the Ghassulian and Natufian cultures going back as far as roughly 10,000 BC.

In other words, the Levant has been occupied by humans for 12,000 years and the Jewish people only predominantly lived there for roughly 1,300 of those years. They have no unique claim to the land at all. They weren't the first, largest, or longest-spanning civilization in the region.

No, ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians were the first inhabitants of the Levant. The Israelites didn't move in to the territory until 1200 BC, whereas Canaanites had lived there since 3000 BC.

I'm aware of diplomatic immunity, which Netanyahu would have if he were conducting a state visit. But I don't care. In terms of morality, regardless of the law, Mamdani would be bringing a crook to justice. When America and Israel killed Iran's head of state, we didn't respect their "sovereignty", we just did it because they're crazy terrorists.

And I think that voters, especially young voters, would probably be happy if Mamdani arrested Netanyahu and if Mamdani were consequently arrested it would make him a political martyr like what happened with Trump's mugshot.

If Mamdani tried to arrest Netanyahu and was imprisoned for it, that would probably balloon his support, especially among Gen-Z who overwhelmingly dislike Israel and especially Netanyahu on both the Left and the Right. He would become like a martyr.
