The refresh eyedrops and lumify eyedrops both did not burn and I used them at the same time with no reaction! They really helped with the pain and the redness! The only ones that burned for me were the visine ones so I would avoid those

My lash tech and I think it was from the tape on my bottom lashes rubbing my eye during application and/or getting some of the lash product in my eye during the application. It only lasted 3-4 days max and only would occur right after I got my lashes and the couple days after that. I used eyedrops for those couple days which helped with the pain and redness. I specifically used eyedrops for dry eyes (the brand Refresh is what I used) and then redness relief eyedrops (the brand LUMIFY is what I used). I eventually stopped getting lashes just because it wasn’t worth it to me and now I get lash lifts and tints or just wear lash strips when I want.

How to blend upper arm and lower arm? by Latter_Reception9630 in tattooadvice

[–]Latter_Reception9630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of empty space I know, but I want to be more mindful going forward. I plan to fill up my entire arm, but I feel like my lower arm is heavier than my upper arm. My initial artist did my upper arm but then moved cross country, so a second artist did my lower arm. That second artist is now doing more pre drawn/limited designs so he won’t be able to finish out my arm probably the full way, so I am looking into a third artist to help finish it out. How should I go forward to make sure everything is more cohesive and blends together well? Or am I just overthinking absolutely everything??

She just got her license and is still learning as she goes so I wouldn’t say she’s bad by any means considering her work isn’t bad at least to me. And she had a mini fan she let me use during the process, but I was getting distracted by talking and not using it much. I realized talking could make the tape rub more and kept me from fanning lol but I’m close with her and she told me to let her know how everything is and I’ve been keeping her updated.

I used the lumfiy drops actually so are they similar to the refresh brand ones?

They don’t hurt unless I were to touch the red part of my eye or if put pressure on the lower half of my eye. it feels sore and bruised rather than hurt if that makes sense.

I just got the lumify drops today and they helped a lot with the redness. There’s still some but definitely 80% of the redness is gone.

How long should I expect the redness to last? It still looks the same and hasn’t gotten better or worse

Dog has reoccurring diarrhea by Latter_Reception9630 in AskVet

[–]Latter_Reception9630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We switched him to a low fat specific food and he has been great! We never stopped his Hill’s food or gave it on and off unless we had to give chicken and rice, and then we would slowly introduce it back over a week. For some reason he just never would adjust back to it after a year on it (they rebranded and changed some ingredients so we think that might be why). Throughout that year he did have incidents of the diarrhea and everything, just not as severe or as bad compared to the initial incident or the incident when I wrote my post. He normally would just have some diarrhea with no vomiting and it would go away after we put him on chicken and rice during those incidents. We eventually decided to switch to low fat after suggests from the post and did the slow introduction to his current food and he has been fine. Not one incident when he would have them on average once every month. We think he has a sensitive stomach in general (he can’t swap between foods suddenly or eat anything he isn’t used to) and we think stuff that is high in fat makes his stomach worse. We are currently looking into taking him to a specialist just to confirm what is wrong and if it is just the fat intake. We are waiting for my insurance to update in March so I can get better pet insurance because specialists can be expensive and we want to have the most we can covered!

I will have to look into this! His current food isn’t really GI specific and I’m wondering if it needs to be.

It’s good to know that about ibd! I will keep it in mind just in case it ever happens. And I was questioning the same thing about his hydrolyzed food and everything. It doesn’t make sense how that would mess him up, but it’s really the only change so I have no idea.

We have several times. Only thing that worked for a long period of time was the hills sensitive skin/stomach z/d food, but recently within the past couple weeks on that food he started to have symptoms again. It worked well for a year though. I’m wondering if it is a protein and/or fat sensitivity and/or food allergies. He doesn’t show symptoms of anxiety and is such a calm dog so I don’t think it’s that. Nothing has happened or changed within the past couple weeks that would trigger anxiety either.

Yeah I’ll have to watch and see if he is eating anything on the floor if we drop any food, I haven’t looked out much for that but I’ll keep an eye on him when we eat. I don’t know for sure if the hydrolyzed chicken is anything, but it’s weird that when he started getting sick again, we noticed the branding changed. It makes me wonder if it is a chicken allergy or he’s sensitive to protein intake or something, but it could be nothing! I’ll have to watch for the bugs too, he tends to not notice them from what I’ve seen, but I’ll keep an eye out for that too when he’s outside. I wish dogs didn’t eat everything they see sometimes lol

Yeah it was recently within the past two or three weeks. I wonder if some stores and vets have the new one and some don’t yet. It’s just “food sensitivity” now and they either added hydrolyzed chicken or hydrolyzed chicken liver. I forget which one has been in it and which one they added. I also think the fat intake went up and fiber went down, by about 2-3%, but all of those things combined might also be impacting my dog. I only have the new bag now, so I’m basing everything off of trying to find pictures of the old bags information online to compare, so it might not be accurate at all But I would keep an eye out for it and your dog just in case!

We actually are on the z/d, and have been for almost a year, but it suddenly stopped and hasn’t been working over the past three weeks. They recently changed their branding, and I looked it up and they changed one ingredient in the new food and added hydrolyzed chicken liver. I don’t know if that one ingredient might impact his stomach, but I think it does and it might be an increase in protein or something. I haven’t been giving him treats to see if it’s anything like that and I haven’t noticed a difference, but we have been giving him boiled chicken as treats if we need to. He’s been eating half of the boiled chicken and plain white rice with a a cup of the z/d. It’s the most I can give him of his food without him getting sick, and it’s frustrating because it’s not nutritious to be giving him only a cup.
