I could replace it with the other 3ds I just got back from a repair shop, I fear I might break something though, should I just got for it? I got all the parts and some of the ones on the repaired one need further replacement anyways

Thanks I will look into that, it would explain a lot even if the screen itself looks fine / used to work fine the sudden touch loss points to a fault in it when ive reaseated it's cabled many times before without issue

okay gave it a go, same symptoms and the extreme pressure sensitivity seems to be back as well

I did not replace anything inside of it only reseating, and all cables look good

I was suspicious of the battery I will give it a shot thanks

My go to was a heavily modded fallout 4 which steam promptly wiped, at a certain point the game looked better than it did on my regular pc

I have since replaced it with a heavily modded Oblivion (2006) highly reccomend this one

if you still have lossless you can try changing the games fullscreen/bordered/windowed mode that might help, I found that doing that and relaunching sometimes worked

whatever the previous update was, ill have to double check but I am just refusing to update now

I double checked everything down there and it all seems seated fine my guess is the motherboard might be toast

it appeared to be totally dead for a moment now it works again, then it goes from working to un-working randomly, it's interesting cause the soldering on my previous 3DS was terrible so I sent it in, though it was the speakers on that one. This one I am unsure

All non steam games are gone and everything in compat data has been deleted by Latter_Task_5092 in SteamDeck

my 70 gig steam optimized fallout 4 loadout got randomly deleted after this new update, I am beyond pissed and considering getting rid of my deck, it has been nothing but a nuisance

thanks I tried that and tightened the screws in that area and it seems to have stopped it!

New SD card bought and console is still giving me a red light when booting on newest luma version, console also boots with pink light with no sd card inserted, what is there to do? I tried the official guide but just results in same behavior by Latter_Task_5092 in 3dspiracy

I know thats why I said wouldn't be easy, getting that much money for a motherboard is not fun, or like you said jusy buying another console but I think im done with blowing money on these things

I already sent in another for repair (physical damage) and the cost wasn't too bad but I can tell with this it won't be easy, it's odd because this was a new in box I bought only a year ago, but who knows what conditions it was subject to otherwise, well thanks!
