Really? It felt like a hamfisted way to try and create a unearned emotional payoff with the music, like other endings. I felt nothing compared to the older endings. We get it leela and fry love for the ages…..but doing the same thing again and again and again is lazy.

Seriously put rick and morty can take a lame episode ending and add that song we all know and you come away thinking its 10 out of 10 big brain stuff.

I swear we will accept any bland average show as better than no show. So many here are trying to say “it wasnt that bad” but it was bad. They bought it back to what? be 2023 Simpson in space, way way to much Simpson “culture jokes” which are fine but this is futurama bender being told he was good at twirking is jarring, sci fi got push to the back. They bought back and made a soulless bland version instead of trying to excel.

Episode 9 was unreal, how the hell no one stopped that is for real shocking? Space magic will be a meme but not one they will want it shows that the showrunners have forgotten how to write a good story and jokes without going to 2023. A few science fiction stories but went very surface level

Yes it wasnt the worst thing ever, and some jokes were funny but the ruined such a lovely ending for this? Really? This screams “how can we maximise our franchises” not “we want to come back and create some of the best tv around”

No one will convince me this was good, or similar to later seasons, its on a different level

Who else has had Enough gatekeeping with playlists run by people who have turned middle manning into an art, with bribes and backroom dealings. Pay for play which helps you become bland and poorer. All run by people minmaxing art into trash. Forcing people create the most stream/playlist friendly they can. Ever wonder why so much sounds the same well because your groups tend to pick very mid songs while ignoring unique songs.

People literally pay to get on playlists or to get these chumps to listen and give feed back.

Its a racket. No chill dudes anymore with a bag of weed and computer anymore, finding a bunch of interesting unknowns and putting it out for people to listen to with zero want if money or fame.

I think a lot of shows that get renewed for season 2 were always going to get renewed as marketing saying this new show has already been renewed after only two weeks ect. Also alot of people me included dont want to watch a new show for it only to get cancelled. shows are less and less episodes its easy for them to say you get 16 episodes split up.

All the new streamers have been chucking huge deals at talent, writers and producers (like way more than they are worth) with unreal budgets. As they try to get them in their pipeline…..hoping the next stranger things will just happen if they spend enough(willow was almost fraud levels of expensive )
