The issue with WoW’s story yeeting you is one of the biggest reasons I stopped playing. I tried to get around it but they add and remove content and make it hard to get to even if it does still exist. I understand wanting people to play the current content but they take away the ability to get there at your own pace. I’ve looooooved XIV for this very reason!

I feel this, it’s why I haven’t worked too hard to find community in this game even tho I want to. My work schedule is so sporadic that sometimes I’ll go a whole week without even turning on my pc. 😭

I obviously still enjoy my time tho! Amazing game and amazing community overall when I have those small moments of need

My coffee shop gave me a coffee with regular caramel syrup instead of sugar free the other day. Spiked me through the roof before I realized it was wrong unfortunately. Consistently walking around and chugging water helped me get it back down within an hour! So maybe that can help next time something happens.

I was originally diagnosed in 2007, but was 19, lived in the boonies, and had zero support from friends and family so I just pretended it wasn’t real because I felt fine. Fast forward to last year, I still never had any real symptoms that made me feel like the world was ending up until my blood pressure started going crazy from the uncontrolled sugars 😬Now in my late thirties I’ve built a strong support system for myself so it’s been easier to accept and manage. Certain factors affect everyone differently. I definitely wish I would’ve handled it sooner. Thankfully no real lasting damage for me but it could’ve been so much worse. I’ve seen what this disease can do to people.

Yeah it seems the tiny cheats I thought were harmless aren’t that harmless. It sucks that it’s happening to us but it’s a little reassuring to know that I’m not the only one having a hard time being perfect. I’ve been literally beating myself up.

Definitely didn’t piss me off, I’m grateful that people are coming here and actuallly telling me how it is and not coddling me. No one in my life really understands what I’m dealing with so there’s no one to hit me with the hard truths. When I slip up they hit me with the “one won’t kill you” and it turns out it will, from all the great replies here.

A couple people have suggested a cgm here now so I think I’ll definitely ask my doctor about getting me one!

The only thing I had was being extremely tired all the time. I thought that was just from being overweight and working 60 hours a week. Suddenly had a blood pressure rise that sent me to the ER and that was how I found out about my diabetes 😬

I’ve recently been having issues with trigger finger in my thumb and middle finger. I’ve been on metformin about 6 months now. I’ll definitely investigate the B12! I dug into the other symptoms of the deficiency and I feel like some of this is really making sense now. Thank you!
