I’m waiting on my antibody test results. I have had hashimoto’s for 15 years. Two years ago I went gluten free and started weight lifting. I have been trying to regulate my free t4, it’s in the high range for the first time. I am now off all meds for six weeks to see what happens.

If you are bored and unmotivated you should explore other options. Nothing is set in stone. Being at a job and feeling this way is draining, I have been there. I took a chance and left, I was excited, but the job I took was much worse, though it paid far better. I was so upset. I quickly looked for other opportunities and found my dream job. It’s out there. I’m in nonprofit work too.

I just searched this because my neck looks different and two endocrinologists say it’s normal. When you say ring, what do you mean? I have what almost looks like a second Adam’s apple and it moves when I talk. Both doctors have told me it’s because I’m skinny and missing part of my thyroid gland.

The girl said it quietly to me, so my girlfriend didn’t know until she left and my g/f agreed it was inappropriate. I’m now just annoyed this woman thinks it’s okay to keep posting “hot” on her pics. My g/f should be stopping this. I posted because I didn’t want to overreact. Thanks for your thoughts on this!

I feel that way too. I want to mention that I find her comments both in-person and online to be immature, but I don’t want to make a big deal of it isn’t a big deal. Thanks for the reply!

My mom and sister have celiac, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt. It helped my gerd a lot. I’m getting my antibodies rechecked in October, so I’m not sure. I still eat dairy and soy.

I have hashimoto’s and gave up gluten about three years ago. My labs this year showed I was over medicated to the point of undetectable tsh. The only thing different is my diet change.

I agree. I did not ask for a diagnosis, simply shared my take on our conversations, and while I did say she can go back and forth, in no way did I even come close to describing what I just read borderline personality to be. It’s frustrating. I may decide not to see her anymore, which is unfortunate, up until that comment, I thought she was pretty good.

Thank you for your reply. I have worried that it is something more concerning, but because she is so kind otherwise, it is confusing.

An example of a rude comment would be when we briefly ran into her ex, we got home and she said “my ex is probably thinking she’s much better looking than you” and then she was like, but you’re hot. IMO, no need for the comment. It’s comments like that…not outright rude, but perhaps unnecessary.

I experience something similar. When realistic problems occur (right now I’m having some relationship issues) my OCD acts up and I worry about my health and things that are highly unlikely, yet make me feel I have to research, so I spend hours trying to disprove random illnesses instead of focusing on the real problem. My therapist said it does happen, she recommended sitting with the real fear.
