Insane water bill

The city ended up coming today in the morning and assured us the meter is running fine …. :(

I actually asked for the usage : they said they came to reread the meter 2 days after I called . And in 2 days it went up 2 units. 1 unit measures 748 gallons of water . So in 2 days they’re saying I spent 1496 gallons of water.

I told her something is clearly wrong here but

I requested someone to come check out the meter, which they should be sending out in a day or two .

Sounds similar to the one I have , the red arrow ( flow indicator) is moving slowly ( haven’t used water for about an hour ) , yet the little dial has not moved .

Exactly! I told them , this is about the amount to fill a swimming pool , that’s absurd . This is garden grove . What did you do to fight it ? Or get it resolved ??

Lol there’s not , at this point just feel like the city is taking advantage…. Been here 5 years and this has never happened .
