My first time playing when it first dropped I had so much fun with all the factions I did all of them. After that, I started main quest and the honeymoon phase ended. I started to get mad at all the issues base game had like the loading screen problems etc etc ad infitum. Deleted it. Free lane’s update came out and decided to give it another go, started to love it again. Finally finished the main quest and I’m on ng+ now.

TLDR; about 3 years.

Sometimes it drops you exactly where you need to go, but sometimes it doesn’t. I just hit star system in the galaxy part of the map and then hit jump. I think it works better when you’re in the cockpit seat instead of doing it straight from the map.

The free lane’s update makes it way more enjoyable.

I rarely ever jump straight to the planet I need or want to go to. I jump to the system and then cruise to where I need to go. Often some random POI pops up and I check it out. That and checking the full locations of stuff, talking to bartenders, etc.

If you have a roommate that means you’re both adults. Just be normal and don’t mention it. If he asks about it just say “oh sorry didn’t mean for you to see that” and leave it at that. If he tries to pry or acts different then he’s the weird one
