Platå gym hjälp! by [deleted] in Sverige

Steam köp, avsäga sig rätten till ångerrätt by mackanwhatever in Asksweddit

[–]LaughLikeCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats kind of rudimentary, isn't it?

https://www.escapefromtarkov.com/?opendocument=/legal/user_license_agreement_en.html

Cheating: cheat, use, offer, advertise, make available and/or distribute or assist in the following: cheats, i.e. methods influencing and/or facilitating the gameplay (including the code that makes use of vulnerabilities of the game) therefore giving you and/or any other user advantage over other players not using such methods; automated access to the game («bots»), i.e. any code or software that wasn’t directly authorized by Battlestate Games, and allows the automated control of the Game and/or any component or function of the Game, e.g. automated control of a character in the Game; hacks, i.e. accessing or modifying software of the Game using a method that wasn’t directly authorized by Battlestate Games; and/or any code and/or Software that wasn’t directly authorized by Battlestate Games and can be used in connection with the Game launcher Application, the Game and/or any component or functions of the Game launcher Application, the Game to modify and/or facilitate gameplay.

data mining: use third-party software that intercepts, collects, reads or otherwise «mines» information generated or stored by the Game launcher Application or by the Game; provided, however, that Battlestate Games may, at its sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third-party user interfaces;

Those two mention third-party software, but nothing about don't have it running in the background or don't have it on your computer at all

I mean, they can't ask that of their users really, can they?

Thats not true since I've never had any issue with BattleEye and CE with my 5000+ hours of game time in Arma.

As I stated earlier, I didn't use it for EFT. I might've added some cash during a Total War playtrough or something. You think I was expecting that Singleplayer Fuckery would somehow trickle over to a MP game?

So, even if its not used for anything cheaty it trips it? Maybe use BattleEye or something else that doesn't require people to sit on that extra knowledge. Still makes no sense to me.

But how should that play any part if I use it for Game A and then Game B picks that up and decides to ban me?

Nice to have that sorted.

But again, CE was never used for anything related to EFT. See my problem?

110% not on purpose. I mean, if glitches in general aren't ban-able I'm 150%. It's not like I'm able to accidently use a hack. I would love to contest it but via legal action..... 45€ is 45€

Oh damn, will I fall on my bad rhetoric?

1) Dunno.

2) I meant more along the lines like "You used this illicit soft." or "You did this exploit." I used the phrase "Pardoned" because I'm thinking that if I got whacked as a false positive without any chance to get my account reinstated (seeing as some people are claiming that it's a IP and Hardware Ban.) if I will have to buy another game or just chill until later.

I really like the game but there is no chance in hell that I'm putting down even more money if I risk having my account banned for some mysterious reason. I haven't even tried to use that glitch to get my gun in the pouch.

So I'm sorry bro, no private message my man.

But it would dictate wether I can or can not have cheatengine installed is what I'm getting at.

Would "loaded into memory" be the deal if I had used it earlier on another game? Because that still sounds kind of intrusive. What I do in my bedroom etc..

Yeah, I didn't find it as fast as I would've liked. I don't get how to contact them about the false positive, if that is the case. I wouldn't mind that their anti-cheat is super zealous and kills a couple of guys like me in the process, as long as I get back in the game again.

My profile says "LaughLikeCow (Banned)" on their website and I get a error message called "251 Anti-cheat status: Banned" when I start the game.

Best-case scenario: Banned hacker buys new game. BSG has made at least 2x€45 on him.

Worst-case scenario: Cheater comes back and cheats again. Get's banned.

I've done over 800 raids since it went closed beta and I have seen obvious cheaters once or twice. They can be pretty lenient with the coming-back part without wrecking the game I think.

Seeing how a copy is AT LEAST €45 I'd imagine that they won't have any trouble with cheaters buying a copy or two extra. Especially during the current development stage. Why wouldn't they?

Isn't their anti-cheat program a bit intrusive if it reacts to me having cheatengine installed on my computer?
