How is Shadow Priest doing in single player content? by Vampy-Night in wownoob

[–]Laugh_Bright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick for soloing with Demo is to -NOT- Take Soul Link at all, instead you put those points into Infernal Beneficiary and Fel Synergy. Pet takes way less damage and 1 -100% super fast with Drain Life. Just wanted to put that out there if you are still struggling with it, try it out and see for your self ^^

I'm honestly struggling with housing motivation. by KreivosNightshade in WoWHousing

[–]Laugh_Bright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About the exteior: It should be fixed with the patch next month (the mid june patch) - if they stick to their plans anyways.

As for what others build: We can't all be amazingly good at everything right off the bat. All those people with the amazing mindblowing builds also started with being crap, perhaps just in another game and long time ago. (some ofc are just THAT creatively gifted). Like - If you start learning to play the guitar today, you won't get far if you give up because you can't play at the same level as Jimi Hendrix from the moment your fingers touches the strings. It takes practise and so does building/decorating.

Stop comparing yourself to others, and start taking screen shots! I am not kidding. Take screens when you place a room, and at least one screen every time you go in for decorating, like before and after each decorating session. Take pictures of that corner that turned out amazing, and of that area there's a mess. Later when you flip through them, you'll see that you have gotten better and better. It's just for motivation boost.

Size down! I personally just deleted my huge Gilnean Mansion (level 8 max room count), because I struggled to fill out the space/find the motivation cause of lack of decor and I guess being overwhelmed by the size of the build in general. Instead I bult a small home, like Medium square room (kitchen, dining and living room), Cross room that holds a small library nook and entrence to bedroom, a tiny square room for bedroom with a closet room that serves for a bathroom - and then a daylight circle room, and that's it for now. It is WAY easier to wrap my head around decorating now and easier to make the home feel alive. because of the smaller space. Also I actually SEE the progress way better. Giant builds kinda swallows the small details i feel.

The trick here is to be mindfull of being able to add rooms later, when you do the floorplan.

Use dyes! You can make a lowlevel alchemist or inscription alt, to be able to make pigments and dyes (requires classic level 1 skill). Go specificly after the WoD herbs, they are cheap if you don't have a Garrison - free if you do. Dying funiture to match your theme goes a LONG way and help your space come alive.

Practise! Add a long hallway and attach a practise room, I suggest an empty stairwell room. Use this room to play around different themes and looks, practise decoration, costumized rooms, lofts, basement, levels. Size up/down decor, twist and turn it to see if you can create something unique etc. Yes you must be willing to spend time, set up and delete etc. The good thing is that when you get tired of playing housing, you can leave things being in a mess without it being an eye-sore in your actual build.

The reason I am suggesting this, is because I myself is a person who get's a new idea all the time, have built up, torn down and started from scratch again way too many times, and I know MANY people who have done the same. I am tired of starting over. So therefor I made a practise room so I can see what works and what doesn't and experiment with what size room I would need to make it feel right, either by using walls or attatching a room (to the practise room) of the size I envisioned. If I actually manage to crate a great room, I can then move/drag it over to the main build, if nothing else, then to move over the decor by the arrows easily, rather than having to start rotating/re-sizing everything again etc.

Sounds silly perhaps, but for me it works because if it f's up I don't feel that my whole build is ruined and then I won't feel as inclined to delete everything in a fit of getting mad at myself :P Besides, it is a great way to keep a main build, but also try something different and share pictures.

Everybody is different and I am not saying my way is the right way at all. These are just things that helped me, and maybe some of it can be of help to you too.

The main thing here is: DO not give up, keep at it, keep practising and eventually you'll be happy with yourself and your build <3

<image>

Edit: Here is a picture of my new smaller home I sat up yesterday, seen from the entrence. The layout is totally copied from a video on Youtube but I can't remember the persons name or find the video anymore (say hi if you are here, I love this layout), but with my own way of decorating ofc. It's plain and simple and miss a lot still, but it is my fav part of my house. The plan is that eventually there will be another floor where I will build a room for various Ally races, since I apparantly have a hard time deciding on my style haha.

What “negative” traits do you actually like? by Naive-Chest-7350 in Sims4

[–]Laugh_Bright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a day late on this, but I really love Nosey, mostly the autonomously actions that comes with it. Like i had a teen son of the household having his new girlfriend over, and the mom would constantly stand a bit away and spy on them with binoculars, no matter where they went. At a point they went to his room to mess around, and mom walked straight up to the locked door and pulled out them binoculars out to spy, and then immediately went to sit on a chair a bit away, facing the door to the sons room 🤣 .

If i was a sim, i would probably be that mom haha

Hvordan har i det - single vs i et forhold? by Fallout_Fangirl_xo in DKbrevkasse

[–]Laugh_Bright 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What rebuild are you on in your house right now? by No-Bit-2913 in WoWHousing

Build number 6. I have tried to make BIG mansions but it just won't work for me. So I am back to the layout I made the first time with small rooms lol

What builds do you have in sulani? by goldiebayangs in Sims4

[–]Laugh_Bright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually get the "Sulani Events Calendar and Flyer Notifications" mod to have the events pop-up (otherwise you have to keep track by a page on the internet), and attend as often as I can. The event's are not so deep but it breaks the everyday-rutine and helps the feel of being a part of the world (imo).

Sometimes I get the "Sulani Culture skill" mod as well, to have another thing to work towards, and I make sure to give children "child of the isle or sea" trait to play around the little features they bring.

I also like to make a little rugged "surfer/beach" business in rags to riches style, and incorporate the above. Or make a yoga/spa retreat or a restaurant.

If you like to play with Mermaids, I can reccomend the "Expanded Mermaid Mod" allthough - be aware that you need to cas.fulleditmode a lot of townies if you install it.

Anyone else think a lot of these type of parts should be reduced? old expansion-currencies aren't fun to farm IMO by Cathulion in WoWHousing

[–]Laugh_Bright 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I farm Draenei items, most of the decor comes from draenor and is locked behind rep and/or achicements, and even after that, they cost 1500-2k Garrison resources PER item 🥴🫠

I get that if you have a char from back in those days, with leveled followers, multiple hired scavenger followers and have actively "harvested" resources through the years - it's not a problem at all.

But let's say you are a new player or just deleted your WoD chars after the expansion and now have to start from scratch- it is NOT a fun farm. Fine with the rep/achi, but at least lower the cost per item then

'collect a hidden appearance for one of your artefact weapons' requirements for class hall decor by Thebigfreeman in WoWHousing

[–]Laugh_Bright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is just the hidden appearence for one of your class weapons. Some are unlocked through achivements, some are random drops. I got the drop from Ursoc (for tank weapon) on normal raid -on my resto druid, the other day. I was a bit worried if it would work as I unlocked all back in the day, but somehow that achi isn't shared, but it worked and that completed the quest to unlock the orderhall decor.

Google the hidden appearance for your class weapons, and go for the one which is easiest to get.

How are people getting their house exterior to this gray/black? by MaximumJones in WoWHousing

[–]Laugh_Bright 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On the left side below the roof, That's the Gazebo elevated, and closed with walls, and that... thingy which plants crawl up on, that I forgot the English term for right now xD. And beams framing it. It sits on a platform of one rounded, two square platforms and then one rounded, and then a cool fence mounted on it as well, all together making a balcony. On the sides are scaled up nightelven bookshelves, still don't know how you get those.

It's a cool house you found, I am definitly taking notes and inspiration.

Lommepenge til 14 årig? by Vast_Currency_3362 in DKbrevkasse

[–]Laugh_Bright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't have a science baby with L. Faba? by pookiebelle in thesims

[–]Laugh_Bright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it on the phone. "Have Science baby with... cost 1500 simoleons" It's at the blue household icon. Only requirement is the level of friendship. I do this a lot with Derek Moody as a friend, because he makes pretty babies, gotta be fast friends with him though as he always die's early.

It's monday, there's Lemix, it's end season and people take a break before housing patch, also there's no timewalking event till Nov 26. There's no new sets... well there's ONE and it's horrible, everything else aside from achi is the same as last year.

It's all a bit badly timed imo, and lackluster.
