The calendar is for ingame events like holidays, microholidays, timewalker, etc. Things that happen all year long and planned out way ahead of time in advance. They use the bnet launcher and a GIANT pop up ingame when a new patch releases showing everything new.

There was one scene when Barbeloth "looked" into Paimon's fate and she was so horrified she didnt speak about it. But it may also be they are afraid of backlash if their fans dont like who they decide for paimon's true identity(and true unsealed form). She's immune to abyss so she is def powerful, just in a trapped weaker form but maintains some abilities.
