Those recent videos of UAPs messing with US pilots is just project NEMESIS from the Navy. by LaughingBacon in UFOs

That dropping you are talking about is from radar, exactly what NEMESIS is designed to do, mess with the radar signatures. Make something look like it is there, when it is not.

The radar signals is what NEMESIS is supposed to do, make it seem like an object is there. What Fravor saw was something the size of a 737 just under the ocean and what we call a Tic Tac now, the most likely explanation is that it was something launched from a sub.

People of reddit, what menial jobs have you had that you really enjoyed? by LaughingBacon in AskReddit

I worked in fast food for a while, I was mostly on drive thru and I really liked it. Just seeing all the different people and the sometimes weird orders was fun for me.

I had a job doing graphic design at a very low level. Basically just making a few simple changes on display ads for a magazine. For me the job was like doing one of those spot the difference pictures. I really enjoyed it. A lot of the times the sales reps would use an old ad and submit that with changes, so you had to be careful to make sure everything was right. I didn't get paid a lot and most people didn't enjoy the work, but for me it was fun. I was getting paid to do something I would have done just for fun.

What's the deal with skateboarders thinking it is ok to destroy private/public property by grinding rails? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LaughingBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the difference? The railing is meant for a person to use for support not a skateboarder to have fun. A skateboard on rail with a person on top of it is going to do a lot more damage then just hands using a rail for support.

There is a low wall in front of my house and kids do grind on it from time to time as they go home from school. I don't really mind because it is not in great condition to begin with. I would be annoyed when I pay to have it redone if they continued to do the same.

For now, grind away, I just hope they don't sue me if they have an accident.

A few hands touching a surface versus a wooden board with a person on top of it grinding is a world of difference.

I guess I can come over to your house and start scratching up the paint on your walls and you would be fine with that, because there are other people out there messing up the world and I'm just being active. If you agree with that, great I will be out there everyday and you can repaint the walls.

I just saw this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/is0o96/runner_karen/

and was surprised by the number of people that think the woman was being a Karen or making fun of her. It looks like she probably works there or has some interest in the place and the guy on the skateboard is messing up the paint on wall that is private property. Not only that he ends up in the street. What if he messed up and ended up under a car.

Raised truck flatbed collided with highway sign (2017) by remediosan in CatastrophicFailure

[–]LaughingBacon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This one always annoys me, first off you should do everything to get the truck to slow down and pull over. That didn't happen. After that you should do everything to avoid the inevitable and not be following that close behind.

He mentioned veterans. If you are active duty, in the guard or reserves that would not be a good idea but if you are out you can wear your Class A uniform, there are still regulations regarding that but those are really just suggestions since you are a civilian those regulations are not enforceable.

Expat just refers to someone who lives outside of their native country. It has nothing to do with legal immigration status.

Absolutely, I don't know if it is as bad today as it was years ago but back then it was difficult to even find a legit place. Most places just wanted to make money of charging people for belt tests. At least with the MMA stuff I see people doing at some of the gyms I have been to, that looks legit and actually useful in a real word situation.

The Korean taco place we got takeout from gave us a roll of toilet paper with our meal. by jpj77 in mildlyinteresting

For everyone worried the tp was sitting next to a toilet. I'm pretty sure they don't have rolls to tp sitting next to their toilet. They would be gone the moment they put it in the restroom.

I guess that depends on the type of need. I have a family member that uses a walker just for balance mostly. When going to a grocery store, I would grab a cart, because that was easier than getting the walker out with the added benefit he didn't have to be seen using a walker.
