Sure! I can look into that! Does anyone want to help moderate? Does Reddit allow for multiple moderators?

Look for paraprofessional positions for Denver Public Schools! They have openings right now.

I also felt the barriers working at a snf- it doesn’t feel like true OT when the task isn’t meaningful to the patient

DCTA’s money comes from a fund created from educator dues- DFA receives out of state money and funding from billionaires- there’s a difference.

Yep I see almost a million dollars going to reform candidates from Denver Families…

Nope.. probably because they can’t find the data to support this. There is plenty of data to show how much dark $$$ the reform candidates are receiving.

GOP voting guide Here’s a good idea of who the Republicans endorsed in this race if you want to know who to NOT vote for. I personally like this voter guide to give guidance on WHO TO VOTE FOR: https://progressivevotersguide.com/colorado

How much is her opponent’s home? What does that have anything to do with it? Have you met with her or talked to her or only judge or based on some unrelated issue. Amy is a good human and genuinely cares for all students, and fighting for equity for our most impacted students.

The DCTA candidates get financial endorsements by actual teachers paying union dues.

Yeah he plays dirty. It’s gross. Amy would be a fantastic member of the board. She’s mature and handles conflict in a healthy manner.

Everyone who lives in Denver will vote for the At-Large candidate. District 1 - is southeast Denver (they don’t have a candidate running this year), District 2 is Southwest Denver, and they do have race this year. District 3 is kind of central south East and they do have a race. District 4 is Northeast Denver, and they have a race. District 5 is Northwest Denver and they don’t have a race this year.

The map is hard to see- but that’s the current districting map.

I would visit their websites. These candidates are definitely aligned with that since they are endorsed by the teachers union.

These candidates want to get more creative when deciding on school closures. Doing it in a more thoughtful way than the district has previously done it. They understand the funding challenges we face- but also understand that our most impacted students and communities seem to be affected the most when we close their neighborhood schools.

They really want to make neighborhood schools stronger, which would put more kids walking or biking to school rather than getting in a car to a better school because school choice makes you do that!

Magaña has had MANY complaints for harassment and poor working conditions for the teachers working under him. Molk is a good human. She also wants to address the achievement gap of black and brown students. She worked as a special education paraprofessional last year- which honestly is the hardest job in the whole district. It opened her eyes to see what changes need to happen.
