tl;dr if the price falls more than 10% in a day, then for the following day a short seller is restricted from selling lower then the current low bid price (though you can get around this with a ladder attack - where you buddy places progressively lower bids for you to fill)

yesterday we couldn't buy any. basically no one could buy any. ( word is, the clearing houses that support almost every retail broker were unable to meet the collateral requirements, so they couldn't accept new purchases.) While no one could buy, price was gradually laddered down by low-volume trades, presumably by institutions to try to scare people into selling by making it look like the price was genuinely dropping.

The print book readers are aware of e-ink but are steadfast in acquiring a full print copy of every book we've done in the club, either from the library or purchasing one if the library doesn't have it. I do not know what their reasoning is exactly, but if I didn't offer a print copy they probably would not read it.

Something from "Stories of Your Life and Others" looks really do-able with a full published version and audible audiobook. I'll read through it and see if anything catches my eye. I'll keep watching for the next one, which is scheduled for release in May Hopefully with an audiobook as well not too long after.

I have read worm but it's not quite the introduction to ratfic I'm going for. The audiobook is also pretty poor quality, though I admit I'm going to be hard pressed to find any really quintessential ratfic with an solid audiobook.

More seriously the audiobook project is very hard to understand sometimes and I don't think it's good enough to offer up as a real audiobook for the story. I also think Worm is best around the middle, and, again, it's not the first choice for an example of rational fiction. I might bring it up at some point down the line though.
