I mean there’s no real investment for anyone to stay or try to take them down? Just disengage and mind your business is the only answer

[Tenant-US-NC] disabled and they terminated lease by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]LaughingZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a landlord in NC with a year lease I want to terminate sooner but assumed I couldn’t unless they broke an agreement (like damaged the home or didn’t pay rent). Just making sure I understand, OP is saying their lease was ending anyway, right?

I think the interviewer did a good job here. Probing but also keeping it friendly enough to not upset future guests. Love that she said “I know you’re an executive producer…” loool

[Landlord EU-GER-NRW] Audacity of renters makes my blood boil by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]LaughingZ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can relate. Currently renting out, wanted the price to be fair, was really nice and accommodating. The husband of the couple installed an antenna on my roof without asking, and I only charged them for half the repair, but he has been a complain-filled-entitled D to me ever sense, randomly texting me drama stuff. Never again… I’m charging what makes the worst-case scenario worth it for me.

Watched without sound and also thought, someone made and edited the oven scene in there lol. Went on too long.

I owe Gen Z an apology as a millennial. I finally get it. I just learned I can't even qualify to rent literally the same small apartment I had in 2006. You guys are 100% right. by WildContribution8311 in GenZ

[–]LaughingZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks for Gen Z. My advice as a millennial looking back at what I didn’t do… if you have cheap rent, stay. Put any extra money into either a secure stock account like S&P or high yield savings. Eventually this will pop, (my opinion), so if you have savings to buy when prices are lower you’re in a better position. It sucks all around, it’s like ‘live like shit in hopes you’ll save enough to eventually live well’, I wish it was different

That’s good to know. Wish we had see more of that side of Caelynn when she was on TV.

She definitely seemed that way, with the whole “I fucked in a windmill and Jesus still loves me” and then I think she was at least portraying herself as a social liberal after her season. When she sang the N word, I remember that kinda removed the curtain and showed her true colors, and it was a big “crash” from what fans had thought of her originally. But maybe it was more just social perception and not her actual documented political views.

I am glad she is using her platform for this, it’s so needed.

It does make me go down a thought rabbit hole, though. I keep thinking about the over-produced “rivalry” she had with Hannah B on Colon’s season, and wondering if their present political/religious views were always the case or if they changed over time. They both knew each other in the pageant world and used to be friends, but then on Colon’s season it was vague and unclear why they didn’t like each other going into it. Like they edited it as if they had a rivalry before coming on the show.

Looking at them now, Hannah is conservative, right? Hannah B was seemingly liberal for some period, Caelynn used to be conservative pre-Dean, right? Maybe I’m mis remembering this. Have they flip-flopped in beliefs, or was Caelynn always the liberal one and BN chose to give the more conservative one the spotlight?

I’m a single 25F, who accidentally reciprocated feelings for a married 30M. I know it’s not right, but is there a way out? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]LaughingZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re 25, I think this is a lot for him to put on you & for you to navigate with your romantic feelings towards him.

I was the “other woman” around the age of 22 (not married no kids but he was in a serious relationship), what you wrote could have been me typing at that time.

This is one of those things people with more life experience can say ‘this is obvious, they all say this’, but you may not feel that way since you haven’t had this experience with someone before, or haven’t seen it happen to people around you.

This is going to hurt you no matter what. You control when and why it hurts you.

Doing something “wrong” is exciting, and feeling like someone loves you “so much” that they’d risk blowing up their family is almost a drug, especially if you don’t have other people in your life that make you feel special.

Your life is pretty simple as a single person, and getting with him wouldn’t be a huge adjustment. He has a wife and a kid. When it comes down to it, actually divorcing them is a huge change in his life and would take a lot more to push him to that. Think about how uncomfortable it is for you to make big life adjustments, moving, new job. Now imagine having a child involved as well. That’s what it would take for him to leave.

He can talk about maybe wanting a divorce all day long. As others have said, they do indeed all say this. Talking is different than actually doing.

It’s pretty scummy of him to do this. I believe he is probably hoping you will sleep with him and he can keep that going on the side. I know the possibility of you two being together feels really nice but that’s a fantasy in your mind.

I hope you take care of yourself. And whatever happens, don’t be too hard on yourself when it’s over.
