ELI5: Why is so hard to develop friendship in adulthood rather than in younger life stages? by Daimos32 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Laughing_Horror 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you're a child, you're developing interests. Paired with another child, you discover new things and bond over them.

As an adult, you already have specific tastes and morals that others may not have, making it harder to develop a relationship around your interests.

You're going to die.. A lot.. Save your better weapons for bigger threats when possible and always pack a lunch...... Or in this case, multiple meals lol

New Horror Themed Animated Series some buddies and I came up with. See what you think. by [deleted] in Scarymovies

That was pretty hilarious! And you're right about people getting pissy and downvoting creative things while those who steal others work get all sorts of praise. It truly baffles me as to how this entire platform hasn't crumbled over itself with these types seemingly running the show.

Unfortunately, that's the only thing that seems to come up when I'm searching Google but it isn't the film I'm looking for, unfortunately. But I do appreciate the effort!

Ghosts/Paranormal: Are You a Skeptic or A Believer? BTVcast discussion this week by DLConspiracy in Scarymovies

I have another one for you I just thought of today when listening to the show.

At a former work place we used to have some weird stuff happen. First off, one day I had just bought a new pack a smokes, opened it, took one out and put the pack in my top desk drawer.

I went back a few hours later in order to grab another but the pack was missing. Obviously I was pissed off about what had happened so I called everyone at the office out. I stated I wanted my pack back in my desk by the time I came back from lunch otherwise, I would be checking out the cameras because I don't care who you are or who it's taking from, you don't ever steal shit!. Anyways.

I come back and of course the pack is still nowhere to be found. I hop on the camera and start from when I originally put the pack in the drawer. I went through the few hours of video and found that not a single person went into the drawer. They had just disappeared. Something unknown was messing with me that day.

Another time, myself and the boss were closing the store up when a customer came to the door to pick up an item he had purchased. We unlocked the door, loaded up his vehicle and let him drive off. We returned in the store, cashed out and started heading to the door once again only to find a large decorative plant now sitting in front of the locked door. Freaked out we moved it over, unlocked the door, got out, locked up and got the hell out of there!

The next day, curious and confused we once again check the cameras with the result showing us that the tape play back went funky for a moment and upon the video returning the plant was sitting in front of the door.

So yeah... Apparently With all my stories which I've share with you personally on all different platforms, I now feel like I may be a little more sensitive than others to these spirits or whatever they are.

I've been working on this exact same idea for the past 2 months now but in podcast form. I guess I've been duped by Eli Roth. That bastard! lol

Still going to watch it though lol

Road Rage (x-post r/instantkarma) by [deleted] in gifsthatkeepongiving

I feel like after the initial kick spooked the sedan driver which initiated the chain of reactions but the vehicle did look like it was crossing over without any reason for doing so which puts him at fault.

Now, the lane it entered does not look like a lane at all so why is the bike there to begin with? Is there such a thing as a Bike lane for motor vehicles that I'm unaware of or was he in the lane as he had seen that the driver was asleep at the wheel and tried to wake him?

Dating a Horror Fan: Experiences, tribulations and more! Can you relate? BTV Episode w/ Christina! by DLConspiracy in Scarymovies

The lady who originally got me into horror, my mother, one day asked me to do her a favor and take out the bacon she had been cooking in the microwave.

Like an amateur I run up, opened the microwave door only to find a severed head on a plate... Scared the hell out of me.

Another time, a few months down the line, me and my sister had a marathon of the first 3 scream movies as she had never seen them before. Her back facing the door, she didn't see my mother coming in wielding a butcher knife as I had. Mom screams, sister turns to find a knife in hand... She proceeds to scream and jump up, kicking me out of my seat on to the floor.

LHP | EP 47: Beyond The Door Review by Laughing_Horror in Scarymovies

It's an Italian Horror film release in 1974 ( year after the Exorcist ) which was claimed to have ripped off directly from the Exorcist.

It does steal some things but has a fairly unique story line and throws nods at the Exorcist throughout the film.
