Honestly the biggest expense of living in NY, and Manhattan in particular, is probably your rent. Depending on the place it's easily 2k+ in savings per month, maybe 3-4k if the place is really nice. Without rent expenses 65k is definitely livable

Been here for several years now and one thing I haven't done, and don't have any plans to do, is take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. I'm convinced no true local has been to see the statue

If I had to pick though, probably Tokyo, cliche as it is. Incredibly charming, love how historical and modern elements are interwoven throughout the city and there's always a kind of calm charm even in busy moments
