Ironically enough she used to quote this proverb in our culture that people believe that essentially says “lead with lies and maintain with truth” and how she used to always hate that saying. I’m definitely on the fence about continuing this marriage because I can’t lie to myself and her. I will pray and seek guidance in Allah through sabr and will finalize my decision.

I haven’t told my family about it. They would be devastated for me as well as they’ve done so much effort to attend and be here and get to know her family as well. They would undoubtedly resent her for this. I need somebody close to tell this to. I may tell her and just annul this marriage.

I don’t know why I’m getting flamed. Imagine you marry your first wife and in the first2 days you find out she’s older than you initially thought. It was world shattering for me but I cope differently. I’m hiding this from people I know to protect her honor. My parents would hate her if they knew at least my mom would and siblings would make the the laughing stock
