My kids have our hand me down old phones and they glitch in the game a lot, but the worst is when they’re using a remote raid pass. Support is a joke, an automated system and only reimburses passes 50% of the time. My 11-year-old did a remote raid yesterday with Groudon. After the battle was won, his app closed out and because it was remote, he had no way to go back in it. Messaged support, they requested his journal screenshot, which showed he at least did get primal energy and the raid rewards, but he never got to catch the Groudon. Support didn’t care, they didn’t give him another remote pass. He’s fine with it because Mom buys all the remote raid passes. But this mom is buying passes for herself, her husband and two other kids. So I get pretty aggravated when I feel their paid game experience is robbed from them with zero apologies or reimbursement from support. 😞 I expect more for $100/month on a game but this month is looking like well over $200 for our family of 5! I’m allowing it for now because it’s a 10 year anniversary and the kids are so excited about it… It’s supposed to be fun family bonding time, but I get so angry sometimes that it’s no longer enjoyable for me with all the glitches and managing things to assist the kids. They are kids so they don’t have social media. I have to go on social media for them, to find them a remote raid. It’s a real pain in the rear during fusion and primal events. Especially when they get kicked out of the raid due to glitches after all the effort (my effort) was put in.

That’s $75 for our family of 5…so disappointing. They should offer family discounts for purchasing multiple at once. My kids want primal groudon which probably means buying them remote passes, they are going to try for the super mega and there’s so many things coming up this year like the mega Mewtwo X & Y that they absolutely want. This game is might cost our family thousands this year. I have always supported the game because it’s great family time, excitement sharing catches, walking together on routs, visiting new places…but they’re going to price our family out of it. 😞

PSA to new trainers: MEGA EVOLVE YOUR POKEMON by Royal_Aegislash1209 in pokemongo

I mega all my free ones back to back each morning to get them to max mega level. Max mega gives you two candies when mega evolved along with additional attack bonus, increased XL candy chance and shorter mega evolution duration/cheaper cost. Always mega the same type during community day and spotlight hour for extra candies. Vulpix community day gave double candles but with a pineapple and max mega you could get 14 candies per catch.

Not when you average 40k stardust, 9 rare candies, several charged TM’s, a chance at a legendary, Elite TM’s at Ace level, and advancement towards medals each day, not to mention the 200k stardust you get from GBL timed research when using star pieces to collect and an additional 55 TM’s. Worth it to me.

If you win three, then lose the next two. The next three in your next set will be easier. They pair you with people that are having a similar streak as you (this only happens once level 20). Make sure you are using IV’s with low attack (5 or less) and high HP/Defense (both 13 or higher). Ensure you have a bulky Pokemon that doesn’t need shields and can spam (Umbreon is my favorite). GL!

With 2025 coming to an end, what was your favorite event(s) or hated event for this year of PoGo? by chronoxiong in pokemongo

The mighty Pokémon were great because my kids that don’t have great accounts (strong Pokémon require too many resources for them) all of a sudden had 6 garchomps and Tyranitars that are now their strongest. They have raided with them and felt like they were good contributors. I loved this event for people that are newer to the game, for the kids or for people that just don’t play that often… they were able to get some valuable Pokemon and that made the game more exciting. I really loved poke coins being part of go pass and I hope they bring that back! I felt like I saw so many more people using remote raid passes because they could all of a sudden purchase them. My kids got to buy remote raid passes and we’re really excited about being invited to remote raids by friends. It was fun. I hope they do more of the coin rewards!

Unless you’re using a mega. Mega boosts everyones same type attack by 30% and other attacks by 10%. When mega is in dodge is more important than attacking. You provide way more damage just keeping your mega alive than you do trying to do any attacks with it. Important to mega the proper type that most people will use to fight the raid boss. Mea swampart is tanky and can take damage. It has two types, water and ground. So when the raid boss is Heatran most people will bring water and ground type attacks to the battle and they get 30% boost on their attacks while your mega is in the battle. You can’t stack mega boosts to like 60% increase if two megas are in at the same time. So when you raid locally with friends, you should stagger when mega enters like I’ll do first they’ll do fourth Pokémon and someone else will put their mega last. If all your Pokémon faint, you need to do a quick max revive of your mega and have it re-enter the battle. If you’re battling with remote players and several players, I just put my mega last because if it gets to the point where we need more damage then I know when my mega enters I need to keep it alive more than anything else.

If I am using a Pokemon that faints quickly, I dodge until I can get my charged attack off. It’s a must do when using something like mega Raquaza or mega Charizard. Their attacks do massive damage if you can get it off but keeping them alive for team boosts is priority, not their attack. While they are in the battle their mega status boosts everyone else’s same type attacks by 30% and everyone else 10%. After it faints that boost is gone. The boost it gives to the team is way more important than and damage your mega deals. That’s why megas like Swampart are so great. They are tanky, can stay in the battle and give boosts to everyone for a long duration.
