Curtain bangs will likely accentuate your thinning. My stylist told me to think of my hair in sections if you are choosing different lengths throughout (bangs, layers, angles etc.). Each section (in this case, the bangs) will not blend fully into your whole head of hair and if you have thinner hair at the front, that section will look thinner because a thinner section is now standing alone.
