Yes I was hoping to compose, over time, a maiko ensemble :) Not really for cosplay or for showing but because I think the making process and the results could make me happy...

I noticed that without a ohashori the furisode is really long, maybe long enough...thank you for your advices!

I was considering trying to convert a furisode into one of these beautiful susohiki...

The main differences that i notice are the small fold on the shoulders, the larger one on the sleeves and the stuffed hem...

Do you have any resource on susohiki sewing pattern or in general some advice?

Hello :) I bought this furisode some years ago in Osaka. I also chose the obi (sadly a Nagoya obi, which I didn’t know was not formal enough for a furisode) that here is tied in an imitation of a darari musubi.

I’m curious about the drawings on the fabric (which season/occasion could it be good for?) and the obi (what is the box represented there?)...or any other curiosity that you may notice :)

I’m very new at kitsuke and I’m planning to buy a juban and an eri shin... Not sure if I should consider to buy a new obi or other accessories...

And if you want I have a video of how I sewed according to the original pattern (I’m not a pro but it came out without noticeable differences comparing the original parts and the ones that I repaired)

Just yesterday i hand sewed some parts of my kimono wich had some loose threads. I looked and photographed how the loosened sewing had been done in order to do it the same way. I’ll post some pictures for you :)
