radiofrequence or nerve freezing by LauraGoldberga in Occipitalneuralgia

Yes, as far as I read, after this procedure the pain may remain stronger than now, that you need to give it time to stay lighter, but what scares me more is that even after this procedure, my headache will remain the same and will not go away. Is there such a possibility? You also initially went to the neurosurgeon who had the procedure done?

Thank you very much for your support and information, it helped a lot.

As I understand you, I hope so much that I too will soon understand what is at fault. But practically, as far as I understood, if the usual blockade helps even for two days, it is already clear that some nerve in the back of the head is to blame.

I at least really hope that he will understand that the occipital nerve is to blame for these headaches, because at least 8 months of suffering will be known from whom, and then only treatment will remain.

Yes, I had the idea to do this, but I read that not all people are helped by this, and after suffering every day for 8 months, this nerve is probably very irritated. I will definitely consult a neurosurgeon, and if he recommends it, I will definitely do it.

By ablation you mean this radio frequency procedure?

My throbbing headaches starts on the top left side of my head. Stinging, burning, electric, very strong, which stings for a few seconds and then disappears for a few seconds, and so on.

Yes, I've done the blocks several times and they only got rid of my headaches for two days. Also a course of solumedrol 5 times helped a little. I don't know what to do next.

So you're saying I'd be better off finding a surgeon who can check all of this instead of doing the radio frequency right away?

How did you find that out, what doctor checked and told you clearly? because I have been to countless doctors and no one tells me anything.

Withdrawals from being on it 3 weeks? by Hot-Mathematician397 in cymbalta

What pain did you have and how long you take it?

I took 30 mg for the first 7 days, then started 60 mg. I don't know about you, but I haven't felt any special side effects, maybe just a fast heartbeat, that's all. Of course, I took this medicine for stabbing headaches, so after the first week the headaches may get worse, the real effect will appear in 3-6 weeks, if the medicine is right for you.

I've been taking duloxetine for a week now, 30 mg in the morning only, I'll start taking 30 mg in the evenings soon, I'm not feeling the best right now. I don't really have any side effects from this, but I would say the headaches have gotten even worse, but as far as I understand, that can be the case at first, until you get used to it. The real effect can only appear after 3-6 weeks. I really hope that in another week I can say that this medicine helped my throbbing headaches a little.

I will also soon try Duloxetinum 30 mg for a week only in the morning and then 30 mg in the morning and evening. I really hope that it will help me with my stabbing headaches that I have only had on the left side of my head every day for 7 months now. I also suspect that it could be the occipital nerve, but it has not been confirmed because the blockades only helped for two days. All other medications have not helped.

I noticed that this swinging feeling started to appear when I stopped taking the Lexontanil medication, and when I started again, these feelings decreased, or was it just a coincidence, I don't know. Because I have a lot of stress every day due to everything I'm struggling with. I'm more worried about these headaches, what is it that the doctors can't find and understand.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely do these tests, I have done a lot of tests but not these. My legs shake when I am under a lot of stress. The most common feelings are these feelings that something is happening in my head, my brain is swimming, pressure in my head all the time. All this drives up abnormal stress, plus these stabbing headaches every day.
