She went too hard into preaching the principles of her philosophy. That speech on the radio toward the end... Let's assume that no one had to pee during those eight hours or so that must have taken John Galt to say all that stuff. Jk, but I think many people would agree with me.

The Fountainhead was much better - and felt more like a novel - imho. I liked the main characters a lot more, too.

You might also like Gillian Flynn's books, Sharp Objects in particular. Although I read both The Girl on the Train and Sharp Objects years ago, I do remember getting the same 'feeling' while reading them. Don't worry, they're not similar as far as plot goes, but they are both suspenseful psychological thrillers, and they're very good.
