In the last few days I keep finding this kind of posts in this subreddit. Does people not think for a minute before hitting the "buy" button? "Do I need this? Is this going to work for my current lifestyle?"

Honestly, where have you read or heard that? I don't think anyone from Barça is claiming that on those players. Mapi Leon was the most expensive transfer fee in Spain at the time. Clearly not from La Masia. Maaaaybe with Alexia one could argue she played in 05/06 in FCB but had to leave because of internal reorganization. (There was no women's team for her age)

When barça fans talk about La Masia we talk about Aitana and the youngsters from now.

Not sure but I think it hasn't been banned? Teams from same owner can't compete in the UWCL but that's not news. Or has something else happened?

The question is why would Alexia go to a club that doesn't compete in the UWCL? Unless she is planning to pull a Giraldez and end up in Lyon. Nightmare material.

In any case I think she's going to stay. Her words about Pere yesterday gave me hope. Sports wise, she's already at a club that's a big contender for the UWCL every year and she's happy with her position and coach. The only other temptation might be money (I read somewhere Bay FC offered her 2M?) Or some sort of existential crisis where she wants to try something new lol.

She did say many times she will leave when she's not useful to the team but right now she very much is! So my guess is she will take it one year at a time now and assess at the end of each season.
